2006 saw the launch of Viking Yachts 68' Enclosed Bridge during the VIP Preview at the Viking Service Center in Riviera Beach, Florida. Two weeks later at the Miami International Boat Show, the 64 Viking Convertible was unveiled and instantly became a candidate for the National Marine Manufacturers Association Innovation Awards. Due to influx of new sales, Viking Yachts announced expansion plans at the New Gretna, New Jersey facility and expects to increase manufacturing and storage space by almost 70,000 square feet.

During the 2005 Miami International Boat Show, Viking Yacht was awarded the Manufacturers Trophy by the World Billfish Series, in recognition of the numerous tournament winnings by Viking Yacht owners. Tuckerton Seaport also honored Bill Healey and Viking Yachts for their continued support of the Seaport’s Antique & Classic Boat Show and the Parent & Child Boat Building Workshop. Viking Yacht introduces the 68 Convertible and designed a new Enclosed Bridge for the 74 Viking Convertible. Both Viking boats premiered at the Ft. Lauderdale International Boat Show. Although ther was a week’s delay in opening the boat show due to Hurricane Wilma, Viking Yachts impressive display attracted a tremendous interest. Viking Yacht then announced the upcoming launche of their Viking 52 Open and 64 Convertibles, plus a new 82 Viking Motor Yacht. Viking Custom announced a new joint venture with Italian builder Sanlorenzo to build and import a series of custom yachts from 88 to 108 feet.
