FORTY MORE is a rugged but elegant blue water cruiser that can take you to the four corners of the world safely and in complete comfort. She carries enough fuel, water and has the storage capacity to make her self sufficient for extended periods. Each of the Wellingtons built in the Jacksonville, Florida yard are a custom finish but share a common bond of rugged, go anywhere construction coupled with an attention to the creature comforts.
The pilothouse is entered through the spacious U-shaped aft cockpit. There is a well-appointed helm. The pilothouse has a ?designer feel? with rich teal sole & joiner work, drapes and complementary pastel fabrics that are used throughout the vessel. The pilothouse is light and airy with 360-degree visibility from every seat. There is an L-shaped settee to starboard with a solid teak cocktail table, two chairs & table to port and a TV in a teak cabinet forward. The helm is forward to starboard. The galley area and guest & crew accommodations are entered down several steps from forward in the helm. The fully equipped galley is immediately to starboard and features a GalleyMaid 3-burner stove w/oven, Sharp microwave, custom refrigerator/freezer, dual SS sinks, central vacuum system and water heater. Adjacent to port is an L-shaped dinette, which seats six. A workroom with standing headroom is aft of the dinette and has a workbench, tools & spares storage and a washer/dryer. Guest/crew quarters are forward with a cabin to port with a double berth and a cabin with under/over berths to starboard. These two cabins share a full head compartment in the forepeak. The master cabin is aft of the pilothouse and has a centerline queen berth, ensuite head compartment, hanging lockers and a number of large ports for light and ventilation.
She is cutter rigged with Profurl hydraulic Genoa and staysail and an EZ furl manual furling mainsail. All controls, sheets and lines lead aft to the cockpit. FORTY MORE has a full complement of cruising electronics including a WH Autopilots autopilot WHPP2X4, Raytheon RL70RC 48 mi. radar w/chartplotter, GPS, Stevens SEA 222 SSB and a Satellite phone system.
Power is provided by a 135-hp Lehman diesel. This beautiful boat is loaded with equipment including 8-kw and 12-kw Northern Lights generators, bow thruster, 60# CQR w/380? chain rode, Heart 3000 watt Inverter and much, much more. Deck & Hull
The hull is Airex cored from 9" above the waterline and solid reinforced fiberglass below with extra laminates at the waterline and stern. Decks, deckhouse and trunk cabin are Klegecell foam cored. There is a steel collision bulkhead and one of the aft bulkheads has a watertight door. Extra flotation is built-in.
