The Viking 48 Convertible is a serious sport fisherman with luxurious interior accommodations. There are reasons why Viking dominates the market for high-end convertibles and this is a fine example. What makes MAVERICK such a great fisherman? There's the 144 square foot cockpit that features a built-in tackle center, a bait prep center with freezer, cockpit awning, the bait well, a fish box, and a fighting chair. Then there's the 46' tuna tower and outriggers. She looks, feels, and performs like a serious fisherman.
The flybridge is equipped with a brand new Eisenglass and canavas enclosure. The centerline helm has captain & companion swivel chairs and a full complement of electronics including: Furuno GPS, 64-mile radar, and plotter. There's also a Northstar Loran along with an auto pilot, digital compass, and two VHF radios. The tuna tower has upper station and canvas top.
The upscale interior features new carpeting throughout. The open salon has a large L-shaped settee with table port side and easy chair and entertainment center starboard. The warm woods and soft leather makes the salon a great place entertain or relax. Port side is the U-shaped galley with breakfast bar on the salon side. The galley features new appliances including refrigerator/freezer, microwave oven, range, and ice maker. The galley has teak & holly sole. Opposite the galley is a booth-style dinette. Just forward of the dinette is a brand new washer/dryer. Continuing forward on the port side is the guest stateroom with bunk beds, hanging locker, and storage. There is a separate guest/day head with vanity and shower stall. The forward master stateroom has island berth, two hanging lockers, and ensuite head with vanity and large shower stall.
MAVERICK is powered by twin Detroit Diesel 8V92 engines with only 50 hours of use. They produce 735 horsepower and allow her to cruise at 28 knots. Other notable features include a Cummins Onan 29kW generator with soft-shield, a new Fireboy fire suppression system, and Sea Recovery water maker.
