The PowerBoat Guide had this to say:

A popular run with an eight-year production run, the Tollycraft 40 Sundeck is a modern double-cabin cruising yacht with attractive styling, a first-rate interior layout, and high quality construction. Like all Tollycrafts of her era, she rides on a modified-V hull with a relatively wide beam and shallow keel for increased directional stability. Originally offered with V-berths in the forward stateroom and a spacious aft stateroom, the floorplan was updated in mid-1992 when the forward stateroom and salon were enlarged at the expense of the aft stateroom dimensions. The interior is completely finished with well-crafted teak woodwork, and a lower helm was a popular option in northern climates. In either floorplan, the galley and dinette are down, seperated from the salon by a serving counter. Topside, the full-width aft deck is a capable entertainment platform, and bench seats flank the helm on te flybridge.
