OWNER WANTS OFFERS!

If you are looking for a blue water, cruising yacht, make sure to see this one! She is an original owner and was kept on the Great Lakes most of her life (and it shows, the gelcoat looks brand new!). She underwent a complete refit of rigging in 2003 which included a new Charleston mast, Norseman fittings, open Johnson turnbuckles and all running rigging.

The Tayana 42 is the cruisers dream. She is built rock solid, sails beautifully, has the famous Taiwanese interior fit and finish, and has the space and accommodations to make cruising a truly comfortable experience. Her comfort starts in the aft cockpit that is fit to the canoe stern of this double ender vessel. It has plenty of space combined with the secure feeling required in an off shore cockpit.

The interior starts at the bow in a large V-berth cabin with great storage and hanging capacity. Just aft on starboard is the full marine head with a separate walk-in shower. Across from the head is a full array of cabinets for more storage. The main salon has an L-shaped settee on starboard with a center mounted fold up table. There is storage and book racks behind the settee. On port the main salon has another settee with cabinets, shelves and book racks. Aft of the main salon on port is the custom navigation station and the electric circuit breaker panels. Aft of the nav station is a private aft cabin. The galley is on starboard aft of the main salon. It is L-shaped with plenty of work space, refrigerator, separate freezer, double stainless steel sinks and a Force Ten propane stove/oven/broiler.

This is a MUST SEE vessel for anyone that is serious about cruising. Call today before she starts cruising again without YOU!

Owner will consider trade for smaller power boat!
Accommodations
If you are a serious cruiser, the most important thing to look at first is the cockpit because that is where you will spend 90% of your waking hours, say nothing about naps or sleeping under the stars while off shore. This vessel passes this critical test with flying colors! Look at the cockpit photos and you will see seats long enough to sleep on, high back support, room to eat and/or entertain, secure positions for when conditions are rough, a dry cockpit in foul conditions, excellent cockpit drainage, and a high bridge deck. She even has all of the curtains to fully enclose her.

Inside the accommodations provide the beautiful teak, quality workmanship and warm feeling you expect from Tayana. The L-shaped galley, with wide counter tops, separate refrigerator and freezer, deep stainless sinks, 3 burner Force Ten propane stove/oven/broiler.

The private aft cabin, with sleeping for two plus custom designed storage and hanging space is across from the galley on port.

Just forward of the aft cabin on the port side is the custom navigation station with instruments that repeat all the information provided at the helm (boat speed, depth, wind speed/direction, VHF, etc) plus an ICOM SSB, all electric circuit breakers and battery monitoring information.

The main salon has an L-shaped settee on starboard with a centerline fold-out table. This settee also pulls out to make a nice queen sized berth. On the port side there is a settee with access to the table for dining. Both sides of the main salon have great storage, shelves and book racks, plus there is a color TV w/built-in VCR.

Forward of the main salon on starboard is the full marine head and a separate walk-in shower. Across from the head are more cabinets and hanging lockers. The forward sleeping cabin is forward of the marine head and has a large V-shaped berth for two people plus good storage and ventilation.
