The 53 Symbol features a spacious cockpit, large salon, ample galley, raised dining lounge and two forward staterooms w/ ensuite heads providing accommodations for eight. The 53 Symbol is quite capable of handling tough conditions while maintaining a decent speed to make long range cruising or fishing possible. The large swim platform and cockpit make for great fishing, diving or water toy storage.
Accommodations Two Stateroom Two Head Layout. The master suite with full king size island berth is forward. There are ample drawers and hanging lockers for all your belongings. Solid stainless steel elliptical ports and overhead hatch provide ventilation and natural lighting augmented by courtesy and reading lamps. The master suite has large ensuite head with marble vanity and countertops, electric appliance, and stall shower for the large gentleman.
Next aft to port is the guest stateroom with double lower berth and single upper. Drawer space and hanging locker are ample. The stateroom is large enough to comfortably move about and relax. The guest head features marble countertops, vanity, stall shower with tub, and electric appliance outlets.
Next aft up two steps to port is the raised dining lounge, which provides seating for up to eight and converts to sleep two. Directly across is the lower helm with excellent 360 degree visibility. Following the helm on the port side is the complete galley. Next aft is a large salon opening via double doors to the cockpit. Inside all soles are carpet or teak. Exterior decking is sprung teak over fiberglass. Cockpit, wide walkarounds, large swim step, and long flat foredeck are all done in teak. The tender and davit are tucked on the port aft side of the foredeck, leaving the swim step clear for fishing and boarding and the boat deck available for water toys or hot tub.
Boat deck and upper helm station are completely enclosed with new canvas with lexan windows. Three comfy helm chairs face forward or aft. Two settees and a cocktail table provide for entertainment.
The cockpit is attractive and comfortable. Laundry facilities are located in a port-side locker. Tackle, fender and line storage is to starboard. There is plenty of space for deck chairs and table and an awning to keep you dry.
A built in vacuum system, cockpit shower, and cockpit and foredeck washdown systems make it all easy to take care of.
Features Galley The galley is spacious and has ample storage and counter tops. It runs in an "L" shape lengthwise along the starboard side mid ships providing easy conversation with both the salon and dining areas of the yacht.

Deck The massive, flat, teak covered foredeck sports a heavy duty vertical capstan windlass with stout ground tackle and ample chain. Heavy gauge stainless steel railings provide security and extend back to the broad side decks. To port is a strong stainless steal davit system, and a Canadian Whaler w/ 25 hp Mercury on chocks. These are situated such that no significant impact to the lower helm is noticed.
Continuing down the teak side decks, the aft cockpit is wide, deep, long, and once again teak covered. The cockpit contains one of three engine rooms accesses, lazarette storage, a locker housing laundry equipment, and tackle and line storage. A hot and cold shower and both salt and fresh water washdowns make keeping the area tidy easy. A stainless framed canvas brow provides shade and protects the salon entry from weather. Electric Scotty downriggers with 48" booms hide away easily.
Aft of the cockpit a wide transom door leads to a large swim platform with teak decking and the circulating bait tank.
