Construction of the 'Hurricane' began on Janauary 1. 2002 with a contract completion date of July, 2002. Construction and completion of all the rigging of the bait systems, hydraulics, electronics and jig poles plus prop changes and bottom work was completed by December of 2005 when the vessel was put up for sale. She was designed to be a commercial Albacore, Swordfish and six pac charter.

The interior lay-up is best described as foreward stateroom with both port and starboard bunk berths and storage areas, in the upper most forepeak of the bow. Main cabin area features a port side forward interior helm with steering and and control console across from a starboard side table with seating arrangement. Aft starboard is the galley area, across from a port side enclosed head with shower.
