| Before describing the configuration of the Stolkraft 4500, a few comments regarding the unique hull design that supports the spacious and luxurious upper decks. Created by engineer Leo Stolk 30 years ago and patented and licensed for a variety of applications since, the Stokraft hull begins forward as a tri-hull then morphs into a catamaran at about midships. The Stokraft gains the stability and handling characteristics of a cat, and the lift, sturdy ride and interior spaciousness provided by the tri hull. This design is noted for quick planning, a tight turning radius, a flat or non-existent wake and efficient operation (expected 18-knot cruise with these 502's -- .7 MPG). TOPSIDES The exterior of the Solkraft 4500 features a long bridgedeck, with the fore being sheltered by a hardtop and enclosure. Bridge seating includes two comfortable bucket-style captain's chairs, plus a very large L-shaped lounge, wrapping around the port side and offering seating for all of your guests. Another bench seat, out from under the hardtop, is further aft on the bridgedeck. Twin staircases slope gently to the cockpit, which is also shaded by a hardtop and is surrounded by tall stainless steel safety rails. Sidedecks leading forward are wide for ease of movement, just a slight step down from the bridgedeck level. Cabin entry is from the cockpit, through a large sliding door that leads directly into the salon. DOWN BELOW Just a few steps down into the salon area, which is dominated by large windows extending nearly its full length, providing bright views while dockside or underway. To port, a very well equipped galley extends alongside, with a prep-serving bar offering a slight division from the salon. The galley includes hardwood flooring, ample cabinet and drawer storage and a full-size fridge-freezer. To starboard, a very comfortable lounge wraps the full length of the salon and a circular table hides unique pie-shaped serving stools below. One more armchair completes the seating accommodations. Forward of the galley, along the companionway is the day head, with vanity, toilet and stall shower. The staterooms sit side-by-side in the bow, guest to port and master to starboard. The master stateroom includes an ensuite head, also with stall shower. All interior surfaces will be found lightly-used and in excellent condition.
