Broker's Comment The Sabre 38 Mk II, with keel/center board, is a fabulous bay boat as well as being offshore capable. With 4'3" draft board up there is no restriction on the creeks and cays you can visit. A perfect Bahamas boat, the Sabre 38 is also a fine performer to windward with board down. Mighty Mary is in excellent condition. She has new cushion fabric and the teak and holy floorboards have been re-varnished, as has her brightwork. Her white hull sets her apart from the many dark hulled Sabres that are hot below and show marks easily.
Accommodation Mighty Mary has the warmth and charm of a boat that speaks of tradition, with her interior cherry wood finish, teak and holly soles (refinished 2003) and the grey-blue upholstery (replaced 2003). She features a private aft cabin to port and aft of the galley, with a full size hanging locker, four opening ports providing ample ventilation and good lighting. The L-shaped galley is at the base of the companionway. It is compact, with good storage, stove, fridge and a double sink. Starboard and easily accessible from the companionway is the aft-facing nav station and, behind that, the spacious head with a stand up shower. Sink and shower have hot and cold pressurized water faucets and the sink has a cold water foot pump. The Salon has an L-shaped settee to port, with a large table that folds up against the forward bulkhead. There is a straight settee to starboard, with storage above and behind and the TV centrally situated behind it. The large V-berth has the trade-mark Sabre vanity, with sink and a seat to port, as well as plentiful storage and a large hatch overhead which provides light and ventilation.
