Introduction

This is the best-selling Post model ever. There are many good reasons, among them is the fact that this stylish boat will always be a looker. As a fishing platform, many tournament vets rank the Post 42 among the best mid-range sportfishermen of her era. This particular Post has been on the Chesapeake Bay her entire life. She's loaded with new equipment and has been professionally restored and upgraded. She is a real pleasure to see.

Accommodations

This layout features two staterooms, both of which have private access to the head compartment. The guest cabin has over/under bunks, while the master features a large double berth. The head compartment has a separate stall shower. The galley is down. The main salon is large and has a pair of reclining wing chairs and a convertible sofa.
<br>The fit and finish of a classic post is very pleasing and this boat is in great shape. The interior joinery is varnished mahagony.

Galley

Deck Equipment

The hull sides of this Post are original gel-coat and still compounds and waxes up beautifully.
The side-decks, fore-deck, and super structure have all been refinished in snow white Awlgrip to a yacht finish. The Flying Bridge w/ factory hardtop is enveloped with an EC2CY enclosure and the tubing is powder coated. The enclosure is climate controlled w/ reverse cycle heat and air. The cockpit has a teak sole that has been professionally refurbished. All sika-flex was removed and re-payed. Every fastener has been pulled, re-set and re-bunged They are left natural and have a fine appearance.
There is refrigeration installed at the front of the cockpit starboard side to handle lunches and drinks for the crew without making trips to the galley.
