Accommodations

The vessel is divided into five (5) watertight compartments.

Vessel Walkthrough

The crews quarters with bunks for (8) is accessed via a dogged door in the aft bulkhead.
The exterior compartment has the mess area with a table and bench seating for (6) forward to port, a mess area (mid compartment port) and a head with shower, sink and toilet aft port.
The officers quarters are starboard forward with an operations center aft with one of the 5 A/C units under the counter.  The aft bulkhead has a sound proofed dogged door to the engine room port of center and a ladder up to the wheelhouse starboard of center and the main deck.
The lazzarette is accessed via a main deck hatch on centerline and contains the gen set. The forward bulkhead forms the aft side of the third fuel tank and the aft bullkhead is the stern of the vessel.  
This patrol boat is a modified commercial craft used to support offshore drilling platforms in the Gulf of Mexico.  These craft are of all-aluminum construction with their pilothouse offset to starboard to provide maximum deck space for weapons and equipment.  The craft has low radar cross-section and quiet engines for clandestine operations.  Mission duration is up to (5) days.

Engine /Mechanical Equipment

The engine room has fuel tanks port and starboard forward, the (3) engines, (4) A/C units (2 port and 2 starboard outboard of the port and starboard engines and battery cases along the aft fixed bulkhead that forms the forward side of the third fuel tank. A main deck escape hatch is located port aft in the room.
 
(2) Racor filters mounted port and starboard of the centerline aft of the engines.
(2) sea water strainers for engine cooling water mounted port and starboard of centerline of the main engines.
(1) sea water strainer in the air conditioning cooling water supply line aft of the starboard engine.
(1) sea water strainer in the bilge pump water supply line forward of the port engine.
(1) sea water strainer in the sea water supply line forward in the lazzarette for the gen set.
The craft is powered by (3) high power, lightweight diesels providing speeds significantly higher than any other USN patrol boat of this size.  Fuel and accommodations will permit unsupported missions of up to (5) days or 450 nautical miles (2000 nautical miles at reduced speeds).  Multi-frequency communications, high resolution surface search radar and reasonable stability in moderately high seas will permit day/night, all weather operations.  The all aluminum craft was designed with a low silhouette, low radar cross section and extremely low acoustic noise levels to preclude ready detection.
