Stories abound regarding the Peterson 44’s sturdy construction and sailing characteristics. A bluewater classic and the first production performance cruiser, this one has had most of the problems associated with boats of this vintage addressed: teak decks professionally removed and LP non-skid in excellent condition, all new rigging (chain plates to masthead), spars redone and one fuel tank replaced (the other appears to be OK).
