The ?Captain Joe? is an all welded steel, twin screw, single rigged trawler with a sharp raked bow, square stern, hard chine and semi-vee bottom.
The vessel is not equipped with a kort nozzle.
Located in the hull, fore to aft, are the rope locker (forward hold), engine room, freezer spaces, fresh water tanks, and steering compartment. Above deck are the pilothouse, galley, and crew accommodations.
The hull is divided into eight (8) watertight compartments by means of longitudinal and transverse bulkheads.
The superstructure is constructed of all welded steel, and is built on one and one-quarter (1-1/4) levels.
The interior of the pilothouse and galley is constructed of oak paneling on bulkheads, marlite on the overhead and vinyl tiles on the decks.
Located on the main deck, fore to aft, are the pilothouse on tween deck, galley/dining, head Captain?s quarters, crew quarters and engine room access compartment.
