Introductory Comments "The Offshore 48' is designed by naval architect William Crealock, the hull described as having a sharp entry, with a modified V hull shape and that flattens out toward the stern for a superb ride in any weather. The handsome interior is enhancement to an already outstanding package." Southern Boating.

Hull VIESTA's low-freeboard, modified-V hull is cored from the chine up. Below the waterline the hull is solid glass, above is a balsa core sandwich for its weight saving, insulating and vibration absorbing qualities. Along the hull you can see vertical stringers, for added support. Specially joined hull-to-deck seam prevents leaks from that critical area. The bilge compartment is divided in to four separate compartments. This is to confine oil spills, should one occur, or to confine sections that are flooded. They can be connected by opening gate valves.
Deck and Equipment The deck features a large sun deck covered by a custom molded fiberglass awning. To starboard aft is a set of stairs leading down to the aft cockpit. The sun deck also leads up to a large flybridge area with helm chair, L shaped settee with cushions and table. The flybridge is completely enclosed with Strata glass, new in 2002.
