Accommodations and Layout Gusto IV features the most popular layout in a 55' Ocean, Plan A. Highlights are 3 staterooms each with private head; large U-shaped galley on deck, a very functional dinette, and the nicest salon in the industry.
Main Salon This is without a doubt the most liveable salon in any 55'-60' sportfisherman. Aft to port is a large L-shaped settee which has storage beneath. Opposite are two occasional barrel chairs and a custom hi-lo teak table is also provided. The entertainment center is forward to starboard above the dinette and is loaded with top of the line electronics including 25" Samsung color TV, JVC stereo system w/Bose 5.1 Acoustimass system, JVC 5-disc CD player, JVC DVD player and a Sony Direct TV receiver. In the counter separating the dinette from the salon is a bar with bottle storage. The décor is very tasteful and features carpet, upgraded fabrics, faux teak mini blinds, and a carpet runner. New headliner with recessed lighting in 1999.
Galley The galley is on the main deck and is located forward to port. It is a chefs dream and features two under counter Subzero refrigerators, one freezer, disposal, microwave/convection oven, Scotsman icemaker, three burner Kenyon cocktop, instant hot water tap, and Corian sink. A beautiful teak and holly sole accents this area. All the countertops in the galley/bar area are Corian with inlays. There is additional custom teak storage cabinetry by Cay Marine bulit in above the galley countertops.
Dinette Located opposite the galley in the forward starboard portion of the main salon is a very comfortable and functional six place dinette with teak table and two stools which fit beneath the dinette table. There is teak and holly sole beneath the dinette also.
Master Stateroom Master stateroom is forward and features queen bed, 4 hanging lockers, color television, VCR and an abundance of storage space. Adjoining, in the forepeak, is the master head with oversized stall shower. Separate Cruisair AC controls provide temperature control in these areas. Teak and holly sole and 2 deck hatches provide light and ventilation.
Port Guest Stateroom Sleeps two on two lower berths. A custom filler is supplied to convert these berths to a full bed. Comforts include color TV, separate Cruisair air conditioning controls, and ample hanging locker and storage areas. Large head with teak and holly sole and stall shower adjoins immediately forward.
Starboard Guest Stateroom Sleeps two on upper and lower berths. This is a very functional and comfortable stateroom which boasts lots of elbow room, hanging locker and drawer storage. Access to head with teak and holly sole and shower is immediately forward.
Fly Bridge This is an extremely comfortable flybridge and ten people can sit in comfort on the forward L-seat, starboard seat and three Pompanette helm chairs. A refrigerator is even provided to save steps to the galley. Also included is a 3-sided Isenglass enclosure with U zips (3) which was new in 2006. There are hynautic controls and steering, fiberglass hardtop with hatch, the top of which was awlgripped in 2007, overhead lighting and molded in overhead electronics box. There is storage under the bench seats and forward in the eyebrow.
Electrical 12V DC - 110-220V AC systems, Northern Lights 12kw genset new in 2000. With 2100 hrs, AC and DC engine room lights, Dy-tek battery condition gauge, Pro-tech 4 automatic battery charger, 8D batteries new in 2005.
Mechanical Equipment & Engine Details Cruisair air conditioning, Halon fire extinguishing system, cockpit, bridge controls, hydraulic wheel steering, trim tabs, (2) bilge blowers, (4) automatic bilge pumps, Glenn Denning engine synchronizer, engine alarms and emergency stop, Hynautic clutch and throttle controls, dripless shaft logs, awlgrip engine room, manual engine room gauges, main engine crash pump, hot water heater, 110 V AC, fresh water pump, Reverso oil change system, Racor fuel filters, (2) engine room exhaust blowers, overhead insulation, teak bilge grate. The starboard engine was an entire new long block in 2004 and has approximately 1100 hrs. The port engine had a major overhaul by DMS in 2005 and has approximately 900 hrs. Turbos were blue printed by DMS in March of 2006. Two new twin Disc 1.5 to 1 transmissions were installed in 2000.

Deck and Hull 8 person Viking life raft in valise. Anchor, bow pulpit, teak deck new in Spring 2007, freshwater and saltwater wash down system, ideal electric windlass w/wildcat, navigation lights, spreader lights, hull color is white, (3) Murray Brothers chairs on flybridge, (5) deck access hatches, teak covering boards, ¾ enclosure, boarding step, teak varnished transom, entire boat was painted with Imron. The topsides and toe rail were done by Cay Marine in 2000. The hull was sprayed by Eagle Eye in Riveria Beach, FL in 2003. The cockpit was done in 2007 and the fighting chair was completely refinished in 2007.
Fishing Equipment Transom door, 41' Rupp 3X outriggers, (4) rod holders, cockpit sink, refrigerated fish box, 8 rod holders on aft flybridge rail, Murray Brothers fighting chair with rocket launcher and rigging tray refinished in 2007, center rigger, Ocean tackle drawers and storage, cockpit freezer, cockpit controls - starboard side, transom gate, cockpit coaming pad, cockpit engine room access. Custom cockpit insulated stepbox new in 2007.
Remarks The Gusto IV is a highly customized well maintained example of the popular 55' ocean. She had a lot of custom interior work, along with topsides paint job and new toe rail by Cay Marine in 2000. She is ready to fish and/or cruise in style and comfort wherever you wish to go. Her present owner purchased her in 1999 and continually upgraded her over the years. He is retiring from boating providing a great buying opportunity on a custom ocean that will turn heads in every port!
