The Flybridge has a mounted swivel captain's chair with two fixed seats port and starboard. The boat is equipped with a hinged fiberglass mast, which lends to the ship-like appearance.
The 430 has a two stateroom, two head layout. Down seven steps from the pilothouse is the Master Stateroom, featuring an athwartship queen-size walk-around bed with night stand on either side. A built-in vanity with stowaway stool has cabinetry in place above for a TV. The master stateroom includes a small TV/radioa large, cedar-lined hanging locker, drawers under the bed and bedside tables for storage. The ensuite head is located to port and features a VacuFlush head and sink with hot & cold pressure water.
The guest stateroom is located forward with two single berths in a V configuration: port up and starboard down. Ample storage is found in the hanging locker and several drawers under the bunks and outboard shelving. The guest head features a VacuFlush head, molded fiberglass sink, cabinets under the countertop, and a full-size standup shower with double hinged door. Unique to the 430, and seldom seen except on very large yachts, the master stateroom has private access to the two heads, including the stall shower.
The Main Salon is accessed from the spacious cockpit through sliding teak framed glass door. Remarks Besides being beautiful, this is probably Monk's most creative space design. There is so much room, and so many different areas on a 43 ft boat. The boat is truly beautiful, both the exterior, interior, and the quality of the finish. She is VERY roomy with very high ceilings and large windows. She has (at least 8) separate environments. On a long cruise you are not crowded by your guests.
The Pilothouse, has a very manly captain's chair and a superb couch. The Portuguese bridge has forward facing seating for about 8.
Flybridge deck area above salon has room for several chairs to lounge, sun bathe, or dance! The salon has great visibility outside and the Salon dinette table has a beautiful inlaid table, which seats 8 in comfort! Galley cabinets have door storage with deep sliding drawers instead of fixed deep shelves. Full storage with seating and water cooler was added on the port side of the salon. A flat panel TV was added, freeing the previous deep space, now available for a washer/dryer combo (also Lazarette can have washer dryer) copious amounts of storage spaces available under salon seating, under Portuguese bridge seating, around mast, under salon side bench (added).
Slanted windows in Pilothouse eliminate glare and make for great visibility. The Pilothouse has perfect forward and side visibility (very high and near the bow), and it is aided with a camera for rear visibility (can also check the engine room) The Cable master aft is a blessing, but if necessary it has connections (cables included and adapters) for forwards A/C, water, cable TV, phone are also convenient.
The Lazarette has very easy access with beautiful steps. The Engine room can be accessed from two locations in Salon, plus through Lazarette.
