Raised pilothouse featuring a three stateroom, two head layout. Interior woodwork is teak with a satin finish and there is a teak and holly sole throughout.

The main salon is accessed via a sliding glass door from the cockpit. Three steps up on the port side to the pilothouse, there is a U-shaped dinette, centerline helm station with Stidd chair and the galley to port. Wing doors access the side decks, each having hide-away screen sliders. A floating staircase on the port side leads to the flybridge. Forward of the galley, a curved staircase grants passage to the staterooms. The forward VIP and twin berth guest cabin to port, share a head with separate shower. At the base of the staircase there's a full height cabinet that houses the washer/dryer. The midship master has a queen berth, vanity, ample drawer and hanging storage and ensuite head with separate shower. All spaces are climate controlled.

Main Salon

The main salon boasts a custom layout. The port side features built in cabinetry with dark green granite tops, (matches pilothouse table and galley counters) and includes a work desk that functions as the onboard office. Entertainment components and icemaker are also housed here. Access to the pilothouse level is up 3 steps along the port side. Opposite to starboard there is an L-shaped settee with dark green Ultra suede, a teak coffee table and two teak end tables/bookcases. Aft on each side, you'll find two Natuzzi Ultra leather reclining chairs. A large flat screen TV is mounted centerline on the bulkhead separating the pilothouse from the salon. A large pass-through from the galley on the starboard side and a floating staircase to port help to create an open floor plan. All of the salon windows open, have screens and are UV protected.

Comments

This handsome Ed Monk design features an excellent cruising layout, which compliments her sturdy offshore character. Clearly one of the most popular Ocean Alexander models every built.
The raised pilothouse with adjoining galley and dinette is perfect for a cruising couple or family.
A full 17' 6" beam not only provides great interior volume, but also walk-around side decks for ease of access to all exterior spaces. Beneath the spacious cockpit there is a full beam lazarette offering extensive storage space and passage to the engine room, which has full headroom and complete access to all systems. The Caterpillar 660 hp engines will provide a good turn of speed and are economical to operate.
Tool'n Around has the standard pilothouse/three stateroom layout and her condition is excellent.
She has been cruised along the US east coast and has proven to be a very reliable, capable and comfortable vessel for her owners, who now wish to move up in size.
