Vessel Overview: Based in Barcelona, North Wind Yachts has been building high-quality performance cruising sailboats for over 30 years. The current line features S&S designs, ranging from 43' to 68', with larger custom yachts available. North Wind's focus is on deck saloon models that offer a variety of layouts, which are built on a semi-custom basis to meet the specific needs of each individual owner. By incorporating state of the art construction techniques and utilizing the highest quality materials available, North Wind has managed to produce a yacht that will stand up to the toughest of conditions, yet will outperform others in her class.
The NW-56 & NW-58 series share the same basic hull shape with the exception being a reversed transom on the former. The modern hull shape features a long waterline, fin keel and spade rudder. The deck layout offers a choice of single or double cockpits, a low profile cabin and wraparound tinted windows.
The sail plan is suitable for short-handed sailing. Rig choices include sloop, ketch or cutter. Options such as hydraulic furling systems, over-sized electric winches and Leisure-furl (in boom) mainsails, make sail handling a breeze.
Down below, the interior joinery is top rate and the utilization of space is superb! Layouts this accommodating are generally only found on much bigger yachts. Machinery spaces are dedicated to keeping a low center of gravity while maintaining ease of access.
We encourage you to compare and to give close inspection.
