The luxurious, 228' megayacht designed as a mobile office space by Luiz de Basto can be built according to your needs.  She features three enclosed decks and one open-air deck.  Hull # 1 is a successful mobile art galley.  These K-class ships are able to accommodate 600 passengers and can be built to your specifications in 2 years time.  Ideally suited for a casino or high end cruise ship! 
"GRAND LUXE" is a custom built 231' x 46' wide Exposition yacht designed by a combination of the owner, naval architect Luiz De Basto and the naval architecture firm of Dejong and Lebet, Inc. in Jacksonville, FL. The yacht was built by Nichols Brothers Boat Builders, Inc. in Freeland, Washington, shipped around to the east coast of Florida by Sea Land Transport and the interior was completed at the Merrill Stevens Repair Facility in Miami, FL. The yacht has a raked stem, transom stern, semi keel, and spade rudders. The decks are all flush with synthetic teak overlay. She is twin diesel engine powered.  She is a U. S. documented yacht.

In addition to this tank there is a Liberty Pumps Black and gray water lifting station which transfers the aft crew accommodation black and gray discharge to the black water tank.  This lifting station has a 41 gallon capacity and a built in submersible pump. The gray water tank is fitted with reportedly two (2) submersible pumps which are set to discharge the tank when it is at 80%, the discharge is directly overboard or can be diverted to a shore side connection.

There are twin cylinders acting onto steel ten and a half inch tiller arms, connected by a three inch steel tie bar with adjustable ends. The rudder stocks are supported with upper and lower Thordon bearings and castle type lock nut. Heavy duty steel tubes and foundation for rudder and stocks.

Bow Thrusters

There are three thrusters on board two (2) bow and one stern. These are all reported to be the same model thruster powered by 150 Hp Brooke Crompton motors.

Electrical

The yacht is provided with electrical generation and distribution systems for alternating and direct current the alternating current is designed for single and three phase power and operates at 460V. Power for lighting and outlets are provided by two transformers as are the air conditioning fan coils.

General Description:
the AC power system of the yacht is a 3 phase 4 wire system by four generators or from two 200 amp shore power connections. Control of these power suppliers is from the main switch board located in the engine room starboard side.  The switch board is a fully inclosed multi section instrumented non paralleling type, using a split busbar system with bus tie breakers for balancing and sharing of the load.  AC power is connected to the switchboard via motorized generator and shore power breakers and distributed though distribution panels located through out the vessel.

The (2) large bow thrusters and stern thruster will help her mobility when docking and undocking. She is fitted with (3) U.S. Coast Guard approved elevators and a rather large dumb waiter.
