Specifications:
A handsome design, the Monterey 302 is an affordably priced family cruiser with attractive lines and practical accommodations. Like all current Monterey sport boats, she rides on a fiberglass deep-V hull with moderate beam and revise chines to reduce spray. The 302's midcabin interior differs from most others in her class in one important respect: instead of being open to the salon with just a curtain for privacy, the 302's aft stateroom is fully enclosed with a solid bulkhead and cabin door. The salon may seem a little less open, but many will agree that the true privacy this layout affords is worth it.
Topside, there is a double-wide companion seat, with a reversible backrest, at the helm, a wet bar, a removable transom bench seat and an extended swim platform, which is optional. The sidedecks are narrow, so the bow area is accessed from a walk-through windshield.
Additional features include a reverse arch, transom storage locker, tilt steering, foredeck sunpad and removable cockpit table.
A good performer, twin 260 HP MercCruiser sterndrives will deliver a cruising speed of 25 knots and a top speed of just under 40 knots.
