Accommodations

The Midnight Lace arrangement plan A allows for a gracious owner's stateroom forward with adjoining head compartment.  The forward cockpit is accessed via this stateroom.  Amenities include queen berth, abundant hanging and drawer space, good light and ventilation, set at a comfortable distance from the yacht's social spaces.  The owner's WC includes Vacuflush head, large sink and counter and nearly-full sized bathtub.

Next aft to starboard is the guest stateroom with over/under berths and private access to the aft head.  Storage and dressing space is more than adequate for cruising guests.

The galley is opposite to port, partially open to the saloon and includes all appropriate amenities such as double sink, Norcold fridge/freezer, CNG stove, Samsung microwave oven, generous stowage and good counter space.

The main saloon is two steps up and features oversized windows offering great visibility while seated.  An L shaped settee to port faces two swivel chairs to starboard.  Media components include 17" TV, VCR and AM/FM stereo with multiple Bose speaker system. A small serving bar/breakfast counter adjoins the galley.

A description of accommodations necessarily includes the cockpit and flybridge spaces, each of which offers comfortable seating and lounging spaces.  Flybridge space includes a separate AM/FM/CD stereo system. Finally, the forward cockpit is an embracing and intimate seating area, equally suitable for stargazing or morning coffee.

Remarks

The Midnight Lace 52 is a classic and versatile cruiser with an evocative profile, reminiscent of the early commuters. Her relatively narrow beam allows an extraordinarily comfortable ride in most conditions.  Fexas paid scrupulous attention to weight and hull form allowing a very desirable ratio between fuel economy and performance. Despite the "retro" appearance, these are cutting-edge contemporary yachts.

CACHE has been well cared for and stored indoors in the winter season.  Her recent repowering is a significant improvement that may just allow us to consider her to be the best ML 52 available in some time.
