A classic American motor yacht of the day. One of the first all fiberglass produced boats, the Matthews 46 is a popular yacht. They were built from 1969 to 1975.
FINALLY retains it's traditional look while featuring up to date improvements. She has a long freshwater history. It looks like a boat! And this is a sea boat, a smooth ride and superb handling.
At trawler speed she burns only an estimated 4 gal/hr. At fast cruise of 20kts she's burning approximately 20 gal/hr. That means this boat is faster and more fuel efficient than other Matthews and most any other similar yachts. Capable of motoryacht speed, but with trawler efficiency!
RECENT MAJOR IMPROVEMENTS:
She is powered by new, fuel efficient Yanmar diesels.
New North Star 8.5 KW generator in sound shield.
The bottom has been rebuilt (Completed Nov. 2005) and fresh bottom paint December 2007
2004 Carbide hard bottom sport boat, Honda outboard and transom crane
Extensive updating from new wiring & plumbing to new counter tops and even new mattresses. The cost of repowering and recent upgrades exceed the asking price! There may be cheaper Matthews on the market, but to make them the equal of this boat will well exceed this price.
TRADES FOR SMALLER BOATS CONSIDERED!!! Ideal trade is a 27 to 30 ft single diesel cruiser... But bring all ideas!
