When you consider that Australia is the world's biggest island, it comes as no surprise that it's home of the world's finest long-range luxury yachts, Maritimo. With the introduction of the Maritimo series of cruisers in 2006 to the US market, legendary builder Bill Barry-Cotter once again shows the world's yachting community why his designs and stuctual integrity are second to none.
From clean exterior lines to a perfectly laid out interiors, you'll pinch yourself to make sure you're not seeing double; Two double staterooms, two saloons, two aft decks, two designer styled heads, two helm stations.
Come and see why Maritimo models are simply "Oceans Apart" from other yachts. ACCOMMODATIONS: Before stepping inside a Maritimo 60 for the first time, prepare to be surprised! You may never see an ocean going cruiser so lavishly appointed. With perfectly crafted woodwork, Corian counter tops and sculptured carpet, no detail can been missed by a keen eye. No narrow, steep ladders here, but a impressive teak and stainless staircase leads to the enclosed luxrious flybridge. With two saloons, two aft decks, two double staterooms and an additional quest cabin, two heads with stall showers, a spacious galley, an enclosed fylbridge, full marine air systems, twin generators and a standard equipment list second to none, come see why Maritimo is "Oceans Apart" from other builders. GALLEY: While many designers seem to treat the galley as a necessary evil, it's actually a centerpiece aboard the Maritimo 60. Unobtrusive and "sunken", it's ideally located between the saloon and the spacious aft deck for easy entertaining. Attention to detail can be seen everywhere, right down to the stainless working of the self-closing drawers. The most demanding of chefs won't fail to be impressed by the counter space and quality appliances and the ample refrigeration and icemaking onboard. There's even a barbeque in the island on the transom when you feel like "eating out". BELOW DECKS: At night, an illuminated acrylic handrail guides you down to the campionway to your accomidation. To starboard a twin bunk Pullman cabin also features a concealed washer/dryer. An ensuite head is shared with the forward double guest cabin, while the master stateroom enjoys a private ensuite head and ingenious walk-in wardrobe that must be seen to be believed. For additional comfort, all the portholes and hatches can be opened to the fresh air and the air conditioning can be controlled independently throughout the vessel. FLYBRIDGE: From up high there is no better place to view the sleek lines and awesome performance of a Maritimo 60. That's why there's comfortable seating for more then the helmsman alone. From our standard Stidd Captain and mate seats, to the lavish settee and teak table, wet bar and sliding door to the cantilevered aft deck, our flybridge is ideal for viewing sunsets as well as operating the vessel. ENGINE ROOM: Acknowledged as one of the cleanest and neatest engine rooms on any boat, of any size, the Maritimo 60 engine room has been praised for its practical design and intelligent engineering. Headroom is ample and you can practically walk around the big twin Cats, which are positioned far enough forward to give the prop shafts a minimal nine degree entry to the water. So when you apply the power, the Maritimo 60 doesn't bury the stern and ride bow high. The design and weight distribution of the engines and fuel tank amidships contibutes to the vessel's superb "soft" ride and planing speed from a very low 11 knots all the way to a top speed of 32 knots with standard engines. And with 1,700 gallons of fuel, you can head out to sea without worrying about the need to refuel.
