Her proud, long term, 2nd owners have given her extensive upgrades and refit work over the past two years including re-awlgripping the decks and hull, refinishing of brightwork, replacement of pumps, addition of Espar Cabin Heat, new starboard engine and much more!! This beautifully maintained and proudly owned Little Harbor 40 is on just her second owner. The current owners have had her for several years and cruised her in new England waters with 1 trip south to the Bahamas while the first owner kept her in the Ches. Bay and cruised her south twice. Accommodations Gorgeous full varnished teak interior with varnished teak and holly sole. Excellent natural light and ventillation with six opening stainless steel ports and three opening hatches, all with screens, additionally there is excellent 12 volt lighting throughout. The accommodations can be heated or cooled via reverse cylce A/C when dockside or heated via the Espar diesel cabin heat system. Starting forward is the owners stateroom featuring an island queen berth below which there are two full storage drawers. To port and starboard aft are two generous hanging lockers and there are additional under deck storage lockers and 2 additional lockers with shelves forward. Next aft is the main salon and galley. To starboard is a full length settee done in off white leather. There is also a custom fitted sunbrella cover for the upholstery for cruising in warmer climates. Storage in bins below the settee and behind the seat back while there are lockers and bookshelves over. To port is the L Galley featuring Hillerrange 3 burner propane stove with oven, Adler Barber 12V refrigeration, Panasonic Microwave, single basin sink with H&C pressure water. Excellent counter space (Corian) and storage in 5 lockers and 4 drawers. The head is aft and to port and features

Cockpit Up 4 steps from the accommodations is a spacious helm deck with generous L settee to port with dining table. both the helm deck and cockpit are teak decked over fiberglass. The decking shows minimal wear. There is storage under the seat. Fwd there is a companion navigators seat which may be removed. Down two steps to the equally spacious and sociable cockpit. There are varnished teak bench seats port and starboard aft with C/L access via transom door to the teak swim platform. Forward and to port there is an additional bench seat with isulated ice box below. All cushions are Sunbrella toast with attractive piping and were redone recently. Lazarettes P&S provide ample storage space and there is storage under the bench seats

Electrical System Wired for 12 volt DC and 110 volt AC service. A Heart Freedom 1800 watt inverter provides 110 volt AC service when off of the dock. All batteries were replaced in August 05'. The 12 volt and inverter service is via deep cycle 6 volt golf cart batteries wired in series

Electronics All electronics are located at the helm station. The chart plotter is on a custom PC platform and while the primary use is navigation it can be used as a pure PC for e-mail etc.

Mechanical Equipment Twin 300 HP Cummins turn 21 X 26 Nibral wheels on 1 1/2" Aquamet shafts through 1.5 to 1.0 reduction gears. The starboard engine was replaced summer 05' following an aftercooler failure had has less than 20 hours on it at the time of listing. The enigne hours noted are the AVERAGE engine hours between the two engines. The Starboard enigne has app 50 hours on it and the port engine has app. 1850 hours on it . The enigne has a full Cummins 2 year warranty and addtional coverage may be pruchased. The aftercooler has been replaced on the port engine as a precautionary measure and the enigne was given full servicing by a Cummins Rep. The listing broker has sea trialed the vessel and she is smooth and quiet with comfortable conversation on the helm deck from idle through wide open throttle. This remarkable sea boat is conventionally driven vs. jet drive. Consequently she is a better sea boat in a following sea and has more positive handling at low speeds.

Hull Fiberglass PVC cored bottom and balsa cored topsides with solid fiberglass windows along C/L and inway of running gear and through hulls. Balsa cored fiberglass decks. The hull was awlgripped Flag Blue in 04' and the decks were also re-awlgripped as well with Oyster White with two tone on the non-skid in Moondust. Wide side decks with convenient hand hold lead forward. There is a large storage locker at the bow. All exterior woodwork was stripped and refinished in 04' with Signature finish which is a multi year varnish replacement and looks like it had just been applied (this after 15 months and a cruise south!!) The transom seats are regular spar varnish and have also been refinished.
