Introduction This is a lovely and capable bluewater sailor. The time tested design is by Angelos Lavranos and she was built by supremely capable craftsmen in South Africa. Deck & Hull Equipment The deck & hull were constructed by Performance Sailcraft In Durban S.A. and the rest of the boat was completed to yacht standards in 1983, which is when the boat was actually launched. The laminate specification, defined by the designer Angelos Lavranos, is for a solid glass hull, making her quite rugged. The keel is an integral glass fin (long keel, transom hung rudder) with encapsulated lead. In 2004 Harmony received new Awlgrip paint on deck and hullsides. Her windows were replaced with UV resistant tinted plexiglass.
