Introductory Comments

The interior is warm and welcoming. Satin varnished cherry bulkheads, furniture and trim encompass owners and guests as they gather around the comfortable L-shaped settee and dinette in the main salon. The off white overhead provides nice contrast to the wood finishes while seven Lewmar Ocean Series hatches, eight Bomar opening ports and four dorade vents deliver excellent ventilation throughout the boat. There is abundant storage throughout, in cabinets and lockers.  The doors are of solid wood and louvered for ventilation. Cherry overhead grab rails run the length of the main salon providing secure handholds while underway or at anchor. Overhead reading and lighting are throughout the boat with very nice cloth upholstery in the main salon and in the sleeping cabins.  Headroom is 6'4"

Interior Accommodations

Starting forward in the boat is the owner's cabin and ensuite head. The V-berth has two seven foot berths connected with a removable insert. With the insert removed there is a small bench seat with drawers and cabinet storage on each side. Additional stowage and the forward water tank are located under the V-berth. Cherry battened ceilings and two narrow shelf run the length of the berth. There is a cabinet with sliding doors at each end of the shelf. Aft of the V-berth is a bureau with three drawers and louvered cabinets under and louvered cabinet above. A large hanging locker with counter space above is aft of the bureau. The molded white surfaces of the ensuite head located across from the bureau/hanging locker are bright and easily cleaned. The vanity with molded sink has storage above with mirrored sliding doors and cabinet below. Cup and toothbrush holder and AC outlets are above the vanity. The manual head includes a Y-valve and holding tank pump out. The separate shower compartment has a teak slat bench seat with adjustable hot and cold pressure water shower head.

The main salon has an L-shaped settee with a drop leaf table with internal wine storage. A straight settee is to starboard. With the table open, six are easily accommodated for a meal. Outboard of the port settee is a pilot berth with storage accessed by two large drawers behind the settee backs. Above the straight settee are two deep louvered cabinets flanking an open book shelf. Additional storage is under the cabinets and water tanks are below the straight settee seats.

Aft and to port of the main salon is the forward facing nav station with upholstered nav bench. The top opening chart table with sliding organizing tray below is large, easily accommodating charts and navigation tools. There are three drawers accessible from the side of the chart table, a small drawer inboard and a deep file drawer below the bench seat. Navigation equipment is mounted in an L-shaped cherry navigation pod that runs outboard of the nav station with a shelf below. The electrical panel is on the bulkhead aft of the bench seat.

Opposite the nav station is the galley. While the galley is large with expansive counters, great storage for cutlery, cooking utensils and food, its U-shaped layout is also secure in a seaway. There is a forward facing double SS Scandvig sink with pressure hot and cold water with a manual fresh water faucet, Force 10 three burner stove, and microwave oven. The center island 6.5 cubic foot refrigeration box is both top and side loading and is insulated with Glacier Bay Ultra R vacuum panels and foam top. A separate Seafrost freezer is located outboard of the sink. There are three louvered lockers and sliding cabinets above the outboard counter, pots and pan stowage under the stove, two drawers and cabinet forward of the stove and garbage and cleaning supply storage under the sink. The aft cabin is located to starboard of the companionway. The seven foot long double berth comfortably sleeps two. Ceilings are finished with cherry battens, and there is a small shelf outboard of the berth. Forward of the berth is a bureau with two drawers and hinged foot locker with a louvered cabinet above and outboard. A large louvered hanging locker is forward of the bureau. Inboard of the berth is access to a large area below the cockpit sole that has been wired for a genset with a second access hatch to the engine compartment. Above the engine access panel is a large drawer. Fuel tankage is below the berth. Ventilation is provided by three opening ports and one opening hatch, and there are also controls for heat and air conditioning.

The aft head is a molded white fiberglass combination head/shower enclosure finished with cherry trim and a cherry panel door. There is manual head, a sink with a faucet that extends for use as a shower head molded into the vanity, and bulkhead mounted mirror. Behind the head and vanity is a large wet locker that runs for and aft and is enclosed by a hanging curtain. Additional storage is provided below the sink/vanity. A door in the aft bulkhead provides access to the large cockpit lazarette.

Engine access is excellent. The companionway steps open to expose the front of the engine, and there is additional engine access via the removable panels in the aft stateroom and aft head.
