The interior of these boats is particularly spacious and well thought out. The exceptional headroom adds substantial volume to the overall area, and there is a very roomy feeling to the boat. She can comfortably accomodate 7 adults in 3 cabins. The head and separate shower forward allows for privacy for either the owners or their guests.
Coming down the companionway, the first cabin is to port. It is a large double cabin, with ample storage in drawers and a hanging locker. The cabin is well ventilated with portholes, as well as sufficient lighting. There is a slideaway sink with a vanity, all of which tucks away unobtrusively while underway.
The main living area has a single berth on the settee to starboard, just forward of the galley. The settee to port converts into a very comfortable and stable double berth. The salon table folds up against the forward bulkhead, giving the large area which may be left open or converts into the double berth. The cushions in the salon have just been recovered.
The forward cabin consists of a centerline queen berth, and it too has ample storage in lockers and drawers. There are two very large drawers under the berth, as well as a large storage area between the berth and the two drawers. This allows one to store suits, dresses, or anything else that might require flat storage.
There is easy access to the head from both the forward cabin as well as the main salon. Access from the forward cabin is through its own door, and there is a second door in the main cabin for the guests. The shower has it's own separate glass door, to prevent the rest of the area getting wet. The head is in the shower area, and may be used to sit and shower if one chooses. The sink is forward of the shower, and has storage underneath.
All lockers and drawers throughout the boat are cedar lined to reduce the risk of mold and mildew.
There are ten outside opening portholes, and five hatches, all of which make this a light and well ventilated boat. When at a dock, the two A/C units cool or heat the boat easily.

Galley
The L-shaped galley is directly to starboard as one comes down the companionway.
The fridge/freezer compartment is completely separated, and has sufficient capacity for long range cruising. Behind the refrigeration, against the bulkhead, are the storage areas for plates and drawers for silverware. There is an abundance of storage and drawers for a complete gourmet galley.
To starboard, forward of the fridge, is the gimballed 3 burner stove/oven. There is extra storage underneath the stove. Forward of the stove is the microwave, encapsulated alongside the hull. Just in front of the microwave, moving inboard, is a very large locker for dry goods. It consists of two levels, and will store a substantial amount of dry goods and cans. Next to this locker are the twin Stainless Steel sinks, with running hot and cold water. There is also a manual water pump, in the event of the electric pump failing. Forward of the sinks is a folding surface that may be used to place dishes, glasses, bowls, etc. There is also storage below the sole in the galley, as well as a drawer under the fridge. There is ample storage under the sinks for items like dishwashing soap, cleaning sprays, etc.

Electronics
The electronics on this boat were dealer-installed. They allow the owners to cruise comfortably and safely. The systems are all interphased, and the Raymarine Chartplotter is mounted in a navpod at the helm. It repeats on the radar below at the navstation, with all the other instruments feeding both screens as well. The 3 sailing instruments are mounted above the companionway, out of the way, but always in the helmsmans view.

  • Raymarine 8" RC530 GPS/Chartplotter (Color)
  • Raymarine RL70C 8" Radar (Color)

Electrical
There are two electrical systems on board - 120 volt A/C, and 12 volt DC. The AC power is fed through two 30 amp umbilicals, and connect in the cockpit. There is a separate breaker in the cockpit for the shorepower.
The DC system consists of a separate engine starting battery, and a split house bank. The batteries are all AGM, and are well secured under the seat at the nav station. If necessary, the starting battery may be bridged to the house bank to start the engine.

Deck
The layout of the deck is safe and allows one to move forward comfortably. The lifelines are high enough to keep one onboard, and there are grabrails all the way forward. The bulwarks are high, and the decks are wide.

Engine
Yanmar has an outstanding reputation for durability and reliability. The 56 hp 4JH engine pushes the boat easily and comfortably through the water, and allows the boat to achieve hull speed with ease. The various components are easily accessed, and the engine itself is easy to work on. The Racor filter has been mounted remotely with its own electric pump. All services have been done by the Yanmar certified mechanic, and the owner has been meticulous in following the break-in regimen. There are no oil leaks, and the engine has never had any failure.
