ACCOMMODATIONS AND LAYOUT: The general layout of the Hunter 380 has the V-berth adjacent to the main salon with an attractive opening portal in the starboard bulkhead for an open airy feeling and great ventilation. The owners stateroom is aft with a direct access to the head for privacy. The 380 is roomy, comfortable, and very accommodating. “Charade” features leather cushions and details such as the vanity in the forward cabin adjacent to the v-berth. GALLEY: The fully functional galley on “Charade” is accented with beautiful Corian countertops and many features including: hot/cold pressure water from 75-gallon water tank, microwave, three burner range and oven, air cooled or air/water cooled refrigerator and freezer (reported by owners to be very cold), air ionizer, and Sea Gull filtration system. HEAD(S) & Showers: The head on “Charade” is located port/aft and is accessible from the main cabin and from the aft stateroom. There is a hinged fiberglass shower seat to cover the Jabsco marine head. There is a macerator pump for the 35 gallon waste tank and dockside water hook-up availability is also included. ELECTRONICS AND NAVIGATION EQUIPMENT: Electronics include a Raystar 120 GPS antenna, RL70 chartplotter/radar (monochrome) at the nav station, L760 color chartplotter/fish finder at helm, Autohelm knot/depth/wind, Autohelm autopilot, VHF Radio at the helm station, mast head TV antenna and cable connection at stern, TV in main cabin with Sansui VHS player, TV in aft stateroom, static diffuser (lightning) at mast head and Jensen AM/FM/CD Stereo (new in 2006). ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: Electrical system includes built-in solar panel on sea hood, electric automatic bilge pump, shower sump pump, tank gauges for fuel, water, and holding tanks, Heart Freedom 2000 inverter, and a Northern Lights generator with only 72 hours of use. Two new AGM 4D batteries as of June 2007. New start battery (maintenance-free lead acid). SAILS & RIGGING: Sail equipment includes Selden in-mast furling, Profurl jib furling system with a 110% genoa, electric halyard winch, and four #40 Lewmar winches with all lines leading aft to cockpit. MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT & ENGINE DETAILS: The engine is a Yanmar 3JH2E 36hp three cylinder fresh water cooled diesel with 1400 hours on the meter and a 30-gallon fuel tank. PYI max prop and line cutter. SAFETY EQUIPMENT: Safety equipment includes lifesling, life preservers, flares, fire extinguishers, and two anchors. One anchor is Danforth #35 with 30’ of chain and rode, the other is a Bruce anchor with chain and rode. CANVAS AND OTHER EXTRAS: Extras on “Charade” include a full dodger/bimini combo with side panels for ¾ cockpit enclosure, bottom sider cockpit cushions, hot/cold cockpit shower, dock water hook-up, and anchor wash down. Extra lifeline gates (5) provide for convenient access. Achilles 9.5’ dinghy with Nissan 5hp 2-cycle engine and davits are included. A Magma BBQ grill and shop vac are among other extras. Bottom sandblasted and barrier coated in spring 2005. New rudder (composite shaft) in spring 2006. Marine Air heat and air conditioning. Electric anchor windlass. COMMENTS: “Charade” is a well-equipped sailboat with many extras from cabin fans in the v-berth, main cabin and aft stateroom to the cockpit extras such as the two-leaf table.
