    The first of the Glen Hendersen designs, the Hunter 356 set the standard for the next generation of Hunter sailboats.  The beam is carried full aft, (a concept subsequently copied by Catalina) making for a stiff ride and making the boat capable of carrying more sail area.  The interior volume also set new standards while nice new touches like a read head board in the aft cabin created a warm rich interior feel.  This boat still had the real teak and holly sole unlike later years that switched to laminate.  The boat has been fresh water sailed and is seriously for sale due to unexpected change in plans.  Call for to discuss or set appointment to view.
