The Hunter 340 was designed with ease of sailing combined with exhierating performance in mind, while at the same time offering very comfortable accomodations below desk for weekend sailing, island hopping in the Keys and Bahamas. Accommodations
A very comfortable 2-cabin interior with V-berth forward, including hanging locker and drawer storage. Aft to starboard is a straight bench settee followed by the aft facing chart table. Opposite is a C-shaped dinette table, with single folding leaf, which lowers to become an additional berth. Storage is below and outboard of the salon seating. Next aft is the spacious L-shaped galley, followed by the generous aft cabin. Opposite the galley is a large hanging locker, followed by the head/shower compartment. The interior is varnished teak with teak and holly cabin sole.

Hull and Deck
Single piece GRP hull with externally attached lead keel followed by a spade rudder. The deck is also GRP construction with end grain balsa coring. In areas of deck fittings and hardware, the deck is a solid laminate with either brass or aluminum backing plates, drilled and tapped or thru-bolted. The hull has an outward turning flange at the gunwhale for the hull to deck bond, which is sealed with 3M 5200 marine sealant, thru-bolted and screwed, then cover with a heavy duty vinyl rub rail with stainless steel insert.
