Accommodations The 55' Hatteras Convertible enjoyed a long and successful production run. Double Trouble has the more popular layout, with the optional galley/dinette-up, 3 stateroom and 3 head accommodations. This is a good sea boat, built on a modified-V hull with a wide beam, shallow transom deadrise and deep keel. She is a great boat for the Bahamas and taking family trips, with a stable ride and fishing platform. She has the updated 12V71TI's with a cruise speed of 23 knots.
Step aboard this 55' into the very big 158 sq. ft. cockpit, equipped with a molded tackle center. The main salon is accessed from the cockpit through the port side cabin door, furnished with beautiful teak wood interior and large L-shaped sofa and great entertaining area, with the galley up.
