General Description The 65 Hatteras Convertible is one of the most successful designs of the past 30 years. These are soft riding hulls that run dry in rough conditions; the power plants being sufficiently large to make the handling easy. The Cockpit is huge, and the interior accommodations extremely comfortable. It is the extended flying bridge that sets "Haggis XI" apart from all the other sister-ships. This additional deck has an L-shaped settee, a wet bar, with a refrigerator, and another aft facing seat, in addition to the aft Control Station. This is unique, beautifully done, and a wonderfully secluded spot from which to watch the world go by.
Accommodations Accommodations include 3 en suite double Staterooms forward, a spacious Salon with large windows, a Galley that is open to the Salon. There is a separate Utility Room, which provides a second entrance to the Engine Room, in addition to the door in the Cockpit. Each Stateroom has its own head with a stall Shower. All the heads are Vacu-flush.
Utility Room Located through a door off the starboard Guest Stateroom and contains a Whirlpool Washer/Dryer, the AC Compressors, a Westinghouse upright freezer, a shallow well, freshwater pump (with a back-up) the Nutone Central Vacuum System, and a SureFlow saltwater wash down pump.
Cockpit A fiberglass table sits in the middle of this 182 sq. ft. area. (A Bluewater Fighting Chair is in storage). There is a transom fish box and two more lift-out fish boxes in the sole. The Bait Prep Center has a sink and a freezer and refrigerator below it. A large bait well and the access hatch to the Engine Room is next to it. To starboard is the four drawer tackle locker and a built-in Meile Grill.
Main Salon This area measures 12'8" x 21' wide. There are two occasional chairs with a side table between them, along the portside. To starboard is an L-shaped leather couch with a storage area under it and a handsome coffee table in front of it.
The U-shaped Dinette is forward to starboard with leather seating and a Corian table top. The Galley , forward to port, is open to the Salon, separated by a wide Corian counter. There are two stools on the Salon side of that counter. Included are: Two Subzero under-the-counter refrigerators, Frigidaire 4 burner cook top, Automan Icemaker, Kenmore Dishwasher, Sharp Convection/Microwave, a disposal in the sink, plus very adequate pantry and storage areas, cabinets, and great lighting.
Master Stateroom The Master is located all the way forward with a centerline queen bed, and an adjoining head that has a Jacuzzi whirlpool tub & shower, Vacu-flush toilet and an attractive vanity. There are drawers on each side of the bed and a spacious hanging closet.
VIP Guest Stateroom Here are twin full-size berths separated by a small table. By lifting up the small table, they can be pushed together to make a double. The table is then relocated on the inboard side of the bed. This is a great innovation that makes this a versatile layout. The head has a full shower, a Vacu-flush toilet and medicine cabinet.
Second Guest Stateroom This stateroom is located to starboard, with crisscross twin berths. The head has its own stall shower and a Vacu-flush toilet. There is a hanging locker, ample storage, access to the utility room and another door to the engine room.
Pilothouse Here is a very sensible layout with a terrific array of electronics for navigation and communication. Two helm chairs, covered in Ostrich leather, are in front of the console. There is a raised settee with chart storage beneath it, and a couch to port, with custom rod storage. This is a fully air-conditioned room with terrific visibility. Because it is designed and built to make the most out of the space available, the Pilothouse feels larger and more spacious. A door, slightly to the left of center, leads aft to the upper aft deck.

Broker's Comments "Haggis XI" is an outstanding yacht in all respects. Both her present and previous Owners have taken exceptionally good care of her. Since March 1st, 2007 every system on board has been gone through and double checked. The entire AC system has been updated. All plumbing for the heads and holding tanks has been purged and new hoses run throughout. All electronics have been checked and many other details addressed to put the "Haggis XI" into top condition. The bottom has been freshly painted, new zincs added, stabilizers serviced and more. A common saying is that a boat is "turn key". This yacht sets the standard for that phrase.
