The 49 Grand Banks Classic is a time proven, serious long range trawler. The boat all the others are compared to! A proven passage maker with a practical and well arranged interior, deck and standing headroom engine compartment.

In above average condition, DUCHESS has a gleaming Imron paint finish and bright teak, up to date electronics and canvas. She features Yanmar Diesels installed in 2000.

Accommodations
Salon

The spacious salon includes the galley and helm station. There are large opening windows with screens and white mesh window covers on the windshield. To starboard, there is a large L-shaped settee with 3 long lockers below, a 42" grand banks table with fold-down leafs for dining and built in cleaver stowage compartments. Forward of the settee is a dry-bar with glass and bottle storage and a U-line ice maker. The lower helm is starboard with a convenient door to the deck. A second door to the side deck is just aft of the galley.
A teak handrail runs the length of the salon ceiling.

Galley

Located on the port side in the salon. It has large windows and all the amenities of home. Recent Corian counter tops. SubZero under counter refrigerator and freezer. Brand new three burner electric stove. Built in microwave oven.

Master Stateroom

The full width master stateroom is aft down 4 steps, 2 of which are hinged for storage. The center queen berth has four drawers below and one very large chart drawer and is fitted with a custom bedspread. There is a double brass directional reading lamp over the center of the berth. Port side of the berth is a 3-drawer nightstand. The port side built-in leading from the nightstand to the head has multiple drawers with bookshelves above with a flat screen TV DVD.
The master head is spacious with a full shower stall, porcelain sink in the vanity, and GalleyMaide electric head.


Forward Cabins


Forward of the salon and galley, down three steps is the guest head compartment with separate shower to port and a cabin across the corridor. this cabin has a bud forward and a desk that can convert to a second bunk aft.
The V-berth cabin is forward at the end of the corridor. The forward area can be closed to the salon making the entire area a private suite.
Above the large v-berth are bookshelf. There are six drawers and a locker below the v-berth and a deep storage well under the mattress. Starboard is a tall chest of six drawers. To port is a wide deep hanging locker with counter above. Opening ports on both sides of the cabin, a hatch above. A teak ladder stores behind the cabin door to assist exit through the hatch. Custom bedding matches the aft cabin.

The engine room can be entered through a floor hatch in the center of the salon or via a nifty lift up design for the forward stair. The standing room engine room includes a washer and dryer and even a small sink.


Deck The design of the entire boat is to be the best possible cruising boat. This is very event In the deck layout featuring full width side decks for easy and safe line handling. The starboard door by the lower helm makes docking while short handed easy. Large lazerette across the stern with three deck hatches.
