Accommodations Standard Grand Banks 36 interior with the preferred island queen aft and with impeccable joiner work and finish on full teak including teak parquet soles throughout. The orginal owner had a number of custom book racks and cabinets built into the boat providing more storage than virtually any other GB 36. There are numerous opening ports and windows providing an abundance of natural light and ventilation while properly placed reading and dome lights provide excellent artificial light throughout. Reverse Cycle Air conditioning (provides both heating and cooling) will provide ample warmth to all cabins on season extending cruises, or cool the interior on the hottest of days. A Sony CDX-F50M AM/FM/Stereo CD receiver with CD changer/Controller/MP3 player was installed in 2007 and pipes music to dual speakers in the Salon, Aft Cabin, and Flying Bridge. Starting forward is the Forward Stateroom featuring a large V-berth with bin type stowage below and the typical teak hull ceiling over. There are 2 drawers and 2 lockers below the V-berth as well. Just aft of the port berth is the large hanging locker and opposite to starboard is the Guest Head featuring Groco electric W.C., ensuite shower, vanity and sink with H&C pressure water. There is good counter space and stowage. Up three steps is the Main Salon, Lower Helm Station, and Galley. The lower helm is to starboard and has full engine instrumentation, and houses the yacht's electrical distribution system, and navigational electronics. TheGalley is opposite to port (see galley), aft of this area is the Main Salon featuring an L settee to starboard with stowage under and a fixed drop leaf teak dining table with bottle and magazine stowage below. Just forward of the L-settee is the cabinet housing the U-line ice maker (new '02) and glass and bottle storage further forward is the starboard access door. Opposite to port and just aft of the galley is a port side door, short bench settee, with stowage in a drop face locker under. All windows have off white drapes and there are numerous custom book racks aft as well as a custom cabinet for stereo equipment. Down three steps is the Master Stateroom featuring the preferred island queen layout. The 60" X 80" berth has drawer storage under including a chart drawer and 2 deep storage drawers, a hidden cabinet with safe and a custom gun cabinet with lock. To starboard is a bureau, a number of large drawers under the side decks and a voluminous hanging locker. To port is a second bureau and again large drawers and lockers under the side decks. There is the standard GB aft cabin companionway and ladder to provide egress onto the aft deck if desired. Good sized Master Head, Groco electric W.C., ensuite shower, vanity & sink with H&C pressure water and good stowage.

Mechanical Equipment Cummins 210 hp diesels turn 28" three bladed wheels on 2" shafts through Twin Disc 2:1 reduction gears. The shafts, couplings and cutlass bearings were renewed in 2001 and the engine mounts were replaced '02-'04. Recent top end speed/rpm check, with photo tach, showed 2570 fully loaded providing 12.5 kts; cruising speed at 2200 rpm was approx 1 knot slower. From the brokers experience, it may be possible to achieve another knot of top end speed and another .5 to 3/4 knot cruise rpm with 4 bladed propellors while keeping the engines properly loaded. There is a 12,000 btu reverse cycle air conditioning unit for the engine spaces.
