THIS IS YOUR OPPORTUNITY TO OWN A UNIQUE YACHT WITH PROVEN INNOVATION IN SAILING
-------------- RECENT PRICE REDUCTION OR IMMEDIATE SALE ----------------
Two free standing carbon fiber masts provide all the horse power needed to drive this yacht at hull speed with the ease of handling a simple main-sheet. No changing of jib sheet leads when tacking or jibing. Simply turn the wheel to tack the boat. This design has proven to be a fast passage maker with minimal crew required. And, NO standing rigging to check or chance a failure. Please note the pictures below of the Freedom 44 featured on the cover of Yachting Magazine, and the Freedom under full sail.
Proven design by Gary Hoyt, and outstanding construction by Tilotson Pearson, make this yacht an outstanding performance cruiser. This has been tested by her current owners who have cruised RAINBOW up and down the East coast of the US, and throughout the Caribbean and South America.
In addition, her interior was custom designed and improved from the stock design. She was designed to be an exceptional live-a-board, or long term cruiser with a much more spacious interior than her sister ships. The open interior space of RAINBOW rivals vessels of considerably longer length. The comfort and space of this vessel must be seen to be truly be appreciated.
RAINBOW'S SIMPLE HANDLING CHARACTORISTICS AT SEA, ABUNDANT STORAGE SPACE AND WIDE OPEN LIVING ACOMODATIONS, MAKE HER AN EXCEPTIONAL VALUE FOR THE CRUISING COUPLE, OR BUYER LOOKING FOR A FIRST OR SECOND HOME.
Accommodations
WALKTHROUGH:
Your first impression when boarding RAINBOW is of her large expanse of deck space. The absence of a trunk cabin allows her owner or crew to move about the entire deck easily. Next, her huge cockpit affords ?walk-about? room for several people and seating for eight or more
Upon descending the companionway steps her enormous open cabin space is impressive. There is a main bulkhead at the aft end of the cabin, and from the bulkhead forward is open space. Curved overhead wooden supports and teak trim give the space a nautical feel. Several overhead hatches provide abundant light and ventilation.
A functional Nav Station w/seat is immediately to Port of the companionway, and a large Head compartment w/ separate stall shower is to Starboard. The head compartment is over-sized so as to be convenient to change out of wet clothing before entering the main cabin. There is ample engine access below the companionway stairs.
A Queen sized berth is immediately forward of the Head compartment, and a full Twin berth is to Port. RAINBOW?s unusually large water tank storage is below these berths, and there are additional storage lockers below the cabin sole.
Her U-Shaped Galley is forward of the Starboard berth and a large top loading refrigerator/freezer is across from the Galley, to Port. This refrigerated locker is heavily insulated and can store more provisions than the average couple could consume in a month.
The Main Saloon encompasses the entire forward half of the vessel. Two 12? long settees, with storage below are opposite each other. The Starboard settee is L-Shaped and incorporates a table for dining w/ leaf for additional guests. The Saloon can seat 12 or more guests or simply provide unencumbered space for two. Outboard, above the settees, are large storage lockers. An additional 60 cubic foot storage locker is behind wood finished doors at the forward end of the Saloon with access to the chain locker. The entire living area is Air Conditioned by a fixed overhead AC/Heating unit with cover for protection when underway.
This huge open area is functional and unique to Rainbow. It was custom designed by her original knowledgeable owner with the sole purpose to provide a comfortable and practical living space for extended cruising. With her abundant storage, RAINBOW can carry enough provisions for any extended cruise you may plan.

Masts and booms are carbon fiber for highest strength and reliability in the industry. A Fully battened Main and Mizzen offer outstanding performance and give Rainbow excellent passage making ability.
Main has (3) reef points, Mizzen has (2). All reefing and sail controls are from the cockpit. All lines are controlled by line stoppers and Lewmar 48 self tailing winch for each sail. Port winch is electrified, allowing both sails to be raised via this winch. Electric winch can also be used to lower or raise the tender or to haul a person up the mast. Two additional self tailing winches can be used as secondaries. Both sails drop into lazy jacks, further simplifying this rig.
