-- DESCRIPTION --
The Ericson 33 was built from 1981 thru 1984 in the later era of Ericson. When they first came on the market they were conidered a pretty hot racer; 25 years later they can still be handicap raced successfully. In fact, "Frantic" finished 3rd in PHFR B during the 2006 Annapolis to Miles River Race, her last race. "Frantic" has a PHFR of 138. She has a spade rudder and efficient fin keel, providing excellent sailing characteristics on all points of sail.
Accommodations
Starting in the forward stateroom, there is a large berth with padded hull liner, which is much more comfortable than the carpeted hull liners one sees so often. There are shelves for storage both port and starboard along the hull sides for storage as well as a large sail storage locker beneath the berth. Two reading lights and a large screened hatch overhead provide the light and ventilation to this area.

Continuing aft to starboard there is a double doored hanging locker with a shelf above it and an opening porthole above that.

Across to port of the hanging locker is the head. This compartment has a stainless steel sink, manual head, a mirror and storage outside and below the sink. Ventilation is provided by a Nicro vent and an opening porthole.

Moving aft into the saloon, on the starboard side there is a straight settee with a lee cloth. There is storage behind as well as shelving above and at the aft end, a double doored cabinet. On the port side is another straight settee with a lee cloth, storage behind and a pilot berth outboard of that settee. The drop leaf centerline dinette table, rather uniquely, stows vertically around the mast, sliding down and expanding utilizing the slot in the mast as it's track. It is also removable for racing if you wish.

Aft to port is the galley. There is a large ice box, sink, microwave oven and propane stove. A door behind the sink provides access to the lazarette stored trash can and a large, tip-out storage unit opens to provide storage for dishes and utensils. Additional storage is found behind the stove area.

Across from the galley is the forward facing nav station. There is a spacious chart table, chart storage tubes and drawers for storage. Aft of that is a large quarterberth, also with a padded hull liner. There are shelves for storage outboard and an opening porthole in the cockpit well for ventilation.

Throughout the vesse there is padded headliner with zipper openings for access to wiring and deck hardware. There is 6'2" headroom, six fized lights in the saloon and a large overhead Lewmar hatch with screen for light and ventilation.
