Accommodations
The Ericson 30+ has a traditional layout that was beamy for its day. A comfortable quarterberth is found in the aft starboard quarter behind the forward-facing NAV station. Across to port is a fully equipped, L-shaped galley. Forward is the salon with a U-shaped, convertible dinette to port and a bench settee across to starboard. The private head is forward to starboard. A hanging locker for the forward cabin is starboard of the passageway. A roomy V-berth is in the forward cabin with a large berth (and filler), an opening hatch, storage and a teak, bi-fold, privacy door.
Throughout the yacht, beautiful teak has been used tastefully for much of the furnishing and trim. Rich teak straking lines the salon hull sides and bulkhead. A teak and holly sole opposite an off-white, vinyl headliner help balance off the interior. Large fixed ports with powder blue curtains provide plenty of light in the salon. The companionway and the forward hatch afford ample ventilation while the salon hatch has been utilized for an RV-style air conditioner/heater. Geometrically patterned, durable Herculon upholstery adds a welcoming touch.
