Accommodations The first thing you will notice is the aesthetic balance of the design, and how it translates to function. The cockpit is dedicated to fishing, but also lends itself to comfortable outdoor cruising enjoyment. Only the best of materials, and components have been integrated into a vessel easily handled by one, yet comfortably set up for the enjoyment of four. Two private cabins, with wide over under berths have their own dedicated air conditioning systems, opening hatches, and ports. Each cabin has their own dedicated head with separate shower room.
Salon The salon is open, airy, and purposeful. A separate, dedicated air conditioning system provides comfortable operation of "Blacksox" if you chose not to use the opening forward windshield, dual Bowmar opening hatches, or side sliding windows to catch the prevailing breeze. The salon area incorporates the dual helm chairs, a port side settee with rod storage under, starboard side galley prep area, dual Nova Kool refrigerators, top loading deep freeze, Sharp Carousel convection microwave, overhead rod storage, secondary engine room hatch, and soft pads for complete engine access.

Master Stateroom The master stateroom is to starboard containing wide over under berths, a hanging locker with access to the dedicated air conditioning system, and electrical panel. A large Bowmar opening hatch, and opening port allows for additional ambient light, and ventilation. Forward in the main stateroom is a shower room separated from the Vacuflush head system which also has a large opening deck hatch.
Guest Stateroom The guest stateroom is to port, and contains over under berths, a hanging locker, dressing seat, and another large Bowmar deck hatch, as well as an opening port.
Guest Head The guest head is forward of the walkway to the 2 guest staterooms, and contains a shower room separated from the further most Vacuflush head. The head contains dry storage, passive, and mechanical ventilation. Aft of the guest head to port is additional shelf and drawer storage.
Inside Helm The helm area has excellent visibility, and a command station that rivals a 747. Please review the extensive list of electronics, and additional options. There is also a fully instrumented, protected starboard outside helm station.

Deck Equipment "Blacksox" has wide side decks, and substantial rails for access to the bow. Strategically placed hand holds, and high side rails offer safety, and confidence while transiting forward while underway.

Cockpit The large mezzanine area forward of the cockpit contains the starboard aft helm, engine room access door, large tackle drawer storage locker, large port side storage locker, large bait table surface counter with drain, and recessed hot and cold water shower handle for clean up, or on deck use. There are dual bench seats with fore or aft facing back rests. The entire mezzanine area is protected by the cabin roof overhang, and eisenglass side curtains.

Hull FIVE YEAR HULL WARRANTY THROUGH 2/2012
The hull is solid fiberglass and is hand laminated in a one piece mold using resins with vinylester outer layers to prevent blistering. Biaxial cloth is used for a high glass to resin ratio, and light weight. All molded parts are weighed to monitor the lamination process, and coring of either balsa or foam is vacuum bagged to insure weight, strength, and proper bonding. Four transverse bulkheads, and four longitudinal stringers insure rigidity, and strength. Black Awlgrip paint is used for the topside color of "Blacksox".
Electrical System The customized electrical system is energized by multiple 12 volt batteries, a 240/120 Volt 12.5 KW Westerbeake Gen set in a sound shield, or shore power, utilizing dual 30 Amp cords incorporating the Glendenning electric retrieval system. The comprehensive main saloon breaker panel allows for complete control of electrical demands, and is easily accessed from the inspection panel revealing a numbered, labeled, and coded wiring system. The bonding system is to commercial grade specifications.
Engine /Mechanical Equipment 2 YEAR OR 1000 HOUR ENGINE WARRANTY THROUGH 2/2009
The engine room is accessed through a large cockpit door, or through the main saloon sole hatches. Wing tanks gravity fed to the lower centerline main fuel tank which is then filtered by dual twin Racor fuel filters mounted on a two stage manifold equipped with vacuum gauges. The wiring is shielded, impeccably run, and secured to the highest standards. The Sea Frost freezer units, A/C compressors, raw water sea strainers, hydraulic manifolds, generator, bonding plates, filters, and Cat C-9 components are all accessible for the owner operator. The engine room is impeccably clean, and easy to service.
Fishing Equipment "Blacksox" is equipped for serious recreational fishing. Rupp Z-30 Top Gun outriggers, Rupp center rigger, Scopinich Fighting chair, multiple rod holders, dual insulated fish boxes, dual cockpit dry storage boxes, large centerline transom live well, with additional port, and starboard transom wells. Multiple electrical socket locations for the electric deep drop reel, and fantastic aft bulkhead storage for a comprehensive inventory of fishing gear.
Remarks THIS IS A 3 YEAR CUSTOM BUILD PROJCT THAT CULMINATED IN THE OWNER TAKING DELIVERY IN FEB 2007. WITH ONLY 91 HOURS OF USE, THIS IS VIRTUALLY A NEW CUSTOM DUFFY.

The results of this 3 year custom project is evident when compared with other "Down East" designs available on today's market.
