NEWVIDA's accommodations reflect her owner's desire for "casual elegance".
Beautifully grained African mahogany defines much of the yacht's interior. Columns define the window mullions and create additional seating. The signature three-dimensional design of wall panels used throughout the yacht was made possible by carefully applying wood veneers over a fiberglass mold. The triangular panels terminate in an enameled medallion. The ornate style of the yacht's powder rooms mixes classic silk and granite for a sophisticated contrast to the yacht's bold, contemporary profile.

Crow's Nest Operating Station
The CROW'S NEST OPERATING STATION provides bow thruster control, a VHF-FM radio, auto pilot slave station, vessel whistle control, search light control, engine and steering controls. A VEI Color monitor has been installed, providing TRANSAS monitoring and control, as well as RADAR monitoring for complete operational capability here and at the lower help station. Not to mention spectacular views for the guests.
Sun Deck
The SUN DECK provides both shaded and open seating areas for relaxing and alfresco dining. Inside is the bamboo games table, and a magnificent spiraling mahogany staircase connects the main bridge deck and sun deck. The curved wall at the back of the stair column is not only beautiful, but beneath the silk upholstery are space-age materials absorbing noise that might otherwise travel between decks.
Main Bridge Deck
The MAIN BRIDGE DECK begins with the wheelhouse, which is actually a suite of rooms that function as the yacht's nerve center. Separated by a glass bulkhead is the ship's office and radio room with stairs that connect directly to the crew area below, facilitating the operation of the yacht without disturbing the guests. Aft of the office is the CAPTAIN'S CABIN, with private ensuite bath. On the starboard side is the continuation of the spiral staircase and companionway leading back in to the main salon.
The rope-and-beam coffered ceiling imparts formality and a luxurious quality to the MAIN SALON, which has comfortable seating for 12 as well as additional seating between the window mullions. There is also a digital piano. A spiral staircase on centerline between the main salon and lounge leads down to the MAIN DECK.
Air-conditioned or open to breezes, the AFT DECK LOUNGE is an inviting retreat. With its tropical furniture, made in part from water hyacinth fibers, it is truly nautical in theme.
Main Deck
All the way forward on the MAIN DECK is the spacious (800 sq.ft.), full-beam MASTER STATEROOM, which incorporates two sitting areas, a king-size bed, a desk, and a spectacular, full-featured entertainment center built of bleached lacewood and Japanese ash accented with African mahogany. This handsomely tailored suite combines dramatic joinery with bright, light upholstered wall panels. Soft chenilles and silk twill fabrics provide textural contrast to the wood's flawless satin surface. Exquisite European hardware and tiger's-eye stones accent the rooms. The MASTER STATEROOM is a very special sanctuary for the privileged few
The MASTER BATH SUITE encompasses his and hers lavatory and dressing areas linked by a tub and shower room. The decorative floor is a pattern of hand selected Shivikashi, Verde Marina and Perlato granites and Silica marble.
In the wide and welcoming MAIN DECK FOYER on the starboard side, jade lily pads appear to float in a pond of verde sintilalante marble and verde lavaris granite.
Behind the foyer is the lovely pearwood, Corian and marble GALLEY, which is as ergonomically designed as any commercial kitchen. Three discreet pantries placed about the yacht allow the crew to deliver unobtrusive yet nearly instantaneous service. A new Crestron 15" flat screen monitor was installed which allows for the viewing of guest orders, view security cameras and control of A/C temperature for rooms throughout the boat. It also allows for viewing of the status of lights, music, do not disturb, etc. for all areas of the boat. A Crestron wireless control panel was installed which can control everything - temperature, TV, movie on demand, music on demand, XM radio, and alarm system. You can also view the inventory of the new custom-built wine cellar and see the itinerary for the day or the week from this control panel.
One of the 3 areas designed for meal service is the DINING SALON, which seats 14 around a custom mahogany table inlaid with jade and tiger's eye medallions. Hand painted shutters pull out from behind handsome columns to enhance privacy and add to the room's unique ambiance. Computer circuitry directs the lumen output of the chandeliers, art lights, and hand made glass sconces for various programmed lighting "scenes". The breathtaking spiral staircase from the main bridge deck continues from here down to the lower deck and the guest staterooms. Aft of the Dining Salon, are fully opening electric doors that turn the Dining Salon and Aft Main Deck into one dining area. A new wall mounted Crestron control panel with custom made gold plated face plate was installed from which you can control music, XM radio, climate, lights and shades.
The AFT MAIN DECK is the primary alfresco dining area and is serviced by its own pantry. The dining table seats 10. From the aft main deck, a staircase sweeps down to the water sports platform. The Main Aft Deck was upgraded with a 43" flat screen plasma TV which deploys mechanically from a custom-made housing when turned on by the new Crestron touch panel controller. New speakers and subwoofer were also installed. Additionally, a new Crestron wireless touch screen panel was also installed from which everything can be controlled or monitored - temperature, TV, movie on demand, music on demand, XM radio, and alarm system. You can also view the inventory of the new custom-built wine cellar and see the itinerary for the day or the week from this control panel. A removable dance floor was purchased which allows this room to be turned into a full disco in a couple of hours.
Lower Deck
Descending from the dining salon to the LOWER DECK is the GUEST FOYER, which showcases English sycamore joinery with mahogany accents and abalone inlays. To ensure the peacefulness of the FOUR GUEST SUITES, their floors and walls are suspended from the yacht's structural frame on special vibration-absorbing mounts. Sound is further dampened through high-tech construction techniques that employ a sandwich of acoustic materials. The padded silk wall coverings above the mahogany chair rail are the last element in play, soaking up any last traces of ambient noise. Each guest suite incorporates a seating area and has an identical bath faced with Colonial Dream granite. Silk wall panels and a shagreen-covered makeup vanity provide a contrast of textures. Each suite's handsome cabinetry conceals a complete entertainment system and refrigerator. Every guest room has been upgraded with a 26" flat screen TV and new Multi-zone DVD player/receiver. You can bring your own movies from around the world and play them on the new system. An IPOD Docking Station was installed in each cabin so that guests can insert their IPOD and listen to it over the cabins' new sound system. A new wall mounted Crestron system control panel with custom made gold plated face plate was installed from which you can control all audio video sources including Direct Satellite TV, the on-demand movie and music digital library, a DVD player, XM Radio, climate, lights and shades. A new digital Elite climate control with custom-made gold plated faceplate was installed. A new Crestron wireless touch screen control panel was also installed which will allow guests to enjoy Direct Satellite TV, a DVD, order a drink or room service, play video games, XM radio or the on-demand movie and music digital library, or call for help - all by a simple touch of the control panel screen. You can also view the inventory of the custom designed wine cellar, see the itinerary for the day or the week, and view the menu from this control panel.
The ENGINE ROOM is located in the center of the lower deck and the CREW QUARTERS are forward. A new 12" flat screen LCD TV with DVD player was installed in each crew cabin. The crew quarters consist of five cabins, each with two beds, a desk, a bathroom, entertainment electronics and climate controls. The crew lounge has plenty of room for the entire crew and there is a separate crew galley. The crew space also houses the laundry, a walk-in freezer and medical lockers. A new 20" LCD flat screen TV with a new DVD player was installed. A 15" monitor was installed which can display the temperature of every room on the entire boat as well as display the status of every light on board, the music and any "help needed" calls that were placed by guests.

Other Features, Equipment and Characteristics NEWVIDA has been owned and loved by two experienced Yachting families. NEWVIDA received ShowBoats' Best Motor Yacht Interior Award 2001 and was voted Best of the Best Charter Yacht by Robb Report for 2007. In place of traditional raised-panel joinery, on NEWVIDA, the mahogany grain is flipped and flaunted to reveal its energy. The three-dimensional cabinet fronts actually extend beyond the door plane, bringing the beauty of inlaid, satin-finished joinery closer to the viewer's eye. NEWVIDA's columns perform their load-bearing duties unobtrusively and yet at the same time provide the definition for individual window seats. These columns are plumed with unique bubble glass sconces that bathe rooms in a shimmering light. Everything on board NEWVIDA is custom made including the fabulous 22-bottle Wine Cellar. The "Edward Fields" wool carpet is woven to exactly fit each room without seams, and the pattern is designed for each room's furniture arrangement so that designs are not hidden. All of the stone on board was selected in Italy and shipped in blocks to Seattle where it was sliced into thin sheets and fastened to weight-saving, space-age honeycomb backing. The Ship's Office computer controls the setting for the yacht's Light Touch system that is throughout the interior of the vessel. Due to NEWVIDA's shallow draft of 7' fully loaded and her bilge keels, she is extremely sea kindly, and allows travel anywhere in the world, including the shallow waters of the Bahamas.
During the past year NEWVIDA has gone through continued upgrading, including zero speed stabilizers, a Jacuzzi, the most amazing Crestron Concierge Service ever introduced to yachting, with the ability to control the environment completely and order your heart's desire from the ship's inventory without ever leaving your stateroom. Further, the Crestron system has the ability to keep an accurate inventory of the ships stores and assist the crew in replenishing supplies. A truly remarkable system, not to mention the flat screen TVs, the ATLAS shore power system and numerous upgrades throughout the yacht. If you are considering a high pedigreed well loved yacht in excellent condition, NEWVIDA should be your first choice.
A complete list of NEWVIDA's AV system and wiring upgrades is available upon request.
NEWVIDA achieved RINA classification status June 2008.
