-- DESCRIPTION --
This aluminum surface effect catamaran was designed and engineered off conceptual designs developed for the U.S. Navy. The "surface effect" created by the high pressure air fans and the hull skirt allow the vessels to partially lift out of the water for reduced drag while riding a cushion of air. This allows for great speed, better fuel economy and a much more comfortable and safe ride in bad sea state conditions. The vessel can also be operated at low speed using its conventional drives without the air cushion.

This vessel is perfect for salvage work, dive charter or offshore oil platform supply.

It is in excellent condition and offers a unique opportunity to purchase a quality crew/supply vessel at a great value price. Long term charters and joint ventures possible.

Construction & Finish
There are two sisterships available. The vessels were built of all welded light weight aluminum alloy construction by Bell-Halter in 1982. They were rebuilt substantially during 2005 to 2006 by Seacraft Shipyard. The vessel is chronologically 23 years old, but due to extensive periods that the vessel was cold-stacked, the estimated service age is 11.

The vessel is a typical catamaran surface effects passenger vessel, with flush deck, double model bow, transom stern and an aluminum double level superstructure. One additional level is recessed below the main deck level.

Bulwarks are of the open type constructed of 3/16" thick aluminum, and extend from the bow aft 35' on port and starboard sides.

In 2005, the entire hull from the keel to the deck level was sand blasted and recoated. The following were inspected in drydock: internal framing, structural members, bulkheads, propellers and shafts, all underwater bearings, all piping and venting systems. Both main propulsion engines, both lift engines and both generator engines were overhauled and have very little running time since their overhaul.

The International Tonnage Certificate certifies the vessel as 310 gross and 109 net IRT. Vessel certified to carry 49 passengers plus a crew of 5 for oil and mineral exploration.
