Owner's comments
Leslie Ellen can be easily trailered. She can be launched and rigged in an hour by a couple from any standard boat ramp. With leeboards up she draws only 18 inches and, with steel shoes protecting the bottom, she can be run up onto a beach. This gives her virtually unrivalled access to gunkholes and out-of- the-way nooks impossible for normal sailboats. At the same time, she is remarkably seaworthy - and with substantial internal flotation as well as collision compartments fore and aft - she is exceedingly safe. The gaff rig is easy to sail. All running rigging is led to the cockpit from which all sails can be raised or lowered. Off the wind she is fast - having a lot of sail and very little wetted area. The owner is selling "Leslie Ellen" for the sole reason that he has been so happy with her that he wants to build another 32' version which will be capable of ocean voyages. Please call ahead to arrange to see this boat.
