Blue Skies is a yard built semi-displacement pilot house trawler with twin diesel engines.
Her Keel was laid in 1978 and the hull was completed in 1984.

Stateroom
This vessel was built as a captain's vessel with a state room forward designed for crew use with a double and a single that can be seperated by a sliding door. Aft stateroon is a master queen. All hanging closets forward and aft are cedar lined.
Head
Full marine head forward with sink, vanity and full shower enclosure. Full Master bath aft has full bath tub and shower. Both heads are serviced with fresh water provided by condensation runoff from the air conditioners feeding into a 750 gallon holding tank.
Cockpit and Helm
Dual lever Morse controls, dual engine gauge sets and alarms, Comnav auto pilot, Sea 222 SSB radio, Garmin 128 GPS, Garmin 152 MAP GPS, Micrologic Loran C, Marine Tec fathometer, Daiko Compass, Satndard Horizon fathometer and alarm, Standard Horizon VHF radio, Searchlight and controls.
Electrical
110 VAC System: Power is provided by Northern Lights #M753-8N 8KW Diesel Generator powered by 3 cylinder electrically sarted engine with heat exchanger for cooling and exhausted through a dry lift muffler. The power plant has a starting battery charged by an alternator. It has circuit breakers located on the main panel. The wiring is of yacht quality.
12 VDC System: Vessel DC service is provided by 4 lead acid 12V batteries isolated and secured. They are charged by belt driven alternators from the main engines and also by an 80 amp 4 channel inverter powered by the generator set or shore powered circuitry. The engine room batteries are two pairs of 8Ds isolated and charged by the engine alternators or the inverter.
