This Custom Bahar 550 is designed for people who have large families or love to entertain. Of course if you have a large family AND love to entertain all the better. This 55 footer has been home to events where twenty-five people have been wined and dined and no one was lost overboard. This Custom Bahar 550 blends great lines, gorgeous interior, and three stateroom accommodations into one very special motor yacht.
There's room at the top - the hard top covered bridge defines the character of this vessel. On most bridges the captain's chair is alone, isolated, with perhaps a companion chair nearby. On America I the captain's chair is a lounge with room for three people. Aft of the helm seat is a teak table with chairs to insure more friends are nearby. Down the stainless steel ladder is a large, open, cockpit with teak deck, transom lounge, and teak cocktail table. Do you see a pattern here? As you can see from the photos there's plenty room to gather and enjoy a beverage and the sea air. A sliding door leads inside to large salon with room for more guests.
As you enter the salon there is a wet bar to your right with refrigerator and ice maker. Very handy for the salon or the cockpit. There is a settee forward of the wet bar and a large L-shaped settee with teak cocktail tables across the salon. Forward in the salon there is a flat screen television to starboard and the lower helm (with double-wide helm seat) to the port side. Navy blue upholstery, lots of teak woodwork, abundant natural light, and teak & holly sole make the salon inviting and comfortable whether entertaining or relaxing. Forward we have three staterooms and the full service galley. The galley is starbaord and is equipped with teak cabinets, teak & holly sole, marble counter tops, two-burner stove, Sub-Zero refrigerator/freezer, microwave oven, toaster oven, coffee maker, espresso maker, Pur water filter, ice maker, and stainless steel sink. Plenty of room and equipment to keep friends and family well-fed.
There are two guest staterooms port side. The first stateroom has over and under parallel bunks. The second stateroom has upper and lower perpendicular bunks with large hanging locker. The guest head is to starboard with mirror vanity with sink and storage, toilet, and shower. Forward is the master stateroom with island berth with cabinets and counters to each side. There's a large hanging locker, flat screen TV, and private master head with shower.
America I is power by twin Caterpillar 3208T engines for long-lasting, dependable, diesel power. They let her cruise at 18 MPH. Other features include: a Kohler 8kW generator, four Cruisair HAC units, Raritan water heater, and Fireboy automatic fire suppression. Electronics include: Raymarine E80 GPS/radar, Raymarine Smart Pilot, Standard Horizon Spectrum VHF radio, a Samsung flat screen TV, a Sony flat screen TV with VHS, Sony digital Sat receiver, Boise radio with CD, and Clarion AM/FM/CD system with speakers throughout the boat. There's a reason they built 55' motor yachts and this a prime example of why bigger is better. She's is well equipped, well maintained and ready to cruise. Owner financing available.
