Additional Information The HMS RAPTURE was built for and by a retired US Navy Admiral. His original design was a handsome 80' with a raked stem and transom stern. Her draft was 6' so that he could explore all the islands of the world. With a 7,000 gallon fuel capacity and a burn rate of less than 20 gallons per hour the yacht is able to cruise with over a 4,000 mile range, and this was in 1976!
More than 10 years later the yacht was renamed HMS RAPTURE 2 and a corporation was formed to transform her into a world class beauty. Top industry names like CMP Associates (Naval Architects in Fort Lauderdale), Gene Bieber (Architect in Dania, FL) and Kevin Calhoun (Naval Architect in Palm Beach) were commissioned to redesign specific areas. The HMS Rapture2 was lengthened 13 feet, an aft deck and swim platform were added. The superstructure was restyled and a complete "Fun Zone" including Jacuzzi, extra seating and stereo system were added to the fore deck. Her new tonnage certificate was issued by the American Bureau of Shipping on January 27, 1998 as a 93' vessel.
HMS RAPTURE2 is a vessel that was totally rebuilt with the exception of the hull and machinery. The interior is spectacular with attention paid to the finest equipment and craftsmanship including over $50,000.00 worth of granite installed and the headliners being refabricated.
She is being offered at a fraction of the over $2 million that was invested into her!
