What we have here is a 1947 C.R. Heisler Tri-Cabin Raised Deck 45. If you know your boats you may have heard of Clarence R. Heisler & Son Ltd., Master Boat Builders of Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia. They are one of the oldest continually operating wooden boat yards in Canada and probably the western hemisphere. They have been building wooden boats since 1921 so our 1947 Tri-Cabin was not one their first models. Her sixty years of service proves her durability.
If you are looking for something different, we have the boat for you. Forty-five feet of wooden boat gives you room to do whatever you want to do. The current layout revolves around the pilothouse. When you enter the pilothouse the helm is forward with the dinette starboard. Portside are companionways forward and aft. Heading aft we go below to the galley that runs the full width of the boat. Aft of the galley is the master cabin with double berth, hanging locker, bureau drawers, cabinets, and ensuite head with shower stall.
If we go forward from the pilothouse we have two guest berths, a forward v-berth and a starboard bunk. The guest head compartment has separate shower stall. A hanging locker, bureau drawers and storage cabinets provide storage.
The pilothouse itself is quite large, finished in teak, with doors to the side decks on both sides. Wide side decks give easy access to the fore and aft decks and give the fisherman room to roam.
Our CR Heisler Tri-Cabin is powered by 1965 Palmer diesel engines producing 110 hp each. The have only 1200 hours them and should provide long-lasting dependable power. This classic wooden boat can be a lot of things. Some refreshing would give you a weekend getaway. Renovation could provide you with a really unique cruiser. She is priced to sell, what you do with her is really a blank slate. Call now for more information or to schedule a showing to the potential of this 45' CR Heisler.
