It is often said that in a sailing yacht you should lead a Spartan life. Why? This yacht offers a performant hull design and advanced sail plans and at the same time the luxury that can be found only in the best hotels. Aside from this luxury, which you can see from the photos the technical side is also vital The hull is off FE52 galvanaised steel, painted outside and in (thicknes 6/8 mm). Al deck and mast fittings (pulpits, bollards, turnbukles, tec.) are designed and manufactured by the yard in CCYD's workshop from AISI 316 stainless steel and solid woods. The deck is composed of planked teak staves, glued and then sealed with silicone rubber. The plywood is made monolithic with the steel deck by screws and tyocol rubber. The sails can be furled by means of electric winding systems so as to ease the riggings. The centerboard can be lifted for access to shallow anchorages. The ultra modern piloting station offers the skipper very complete and advanced technical, navigation and communications equipment; gyrocompass, autopilot, color radar, satellite navigator, VHF radiotelephone, short wave receiver, SSB radio, weather fac-simile receiver, log, echosounder, wind instruments etc. All of these instruments are made and guaranteed by the world's most prestigious firms assuring world-wide service and assistance. The boat is gyroo-stabilised. The two Caterpillar engines need only 60% of their power to drive YUCCA at 10 knots. This leaves ample reserve power for emergency situations, limits fuel consumption, and improves reliability thereby avoiding breakdowns. The maintenace is facilitated by easy access and constant care is taken to maintain the engines and associated parts in perfect order. All tubing system and conical pipe fittings are of AISI 316 stainless steel.
