Accommodations
From her extra large cockpit, to the spacious interior, the Catalina-36 is a roomy and comfortable cruiser.
Entering the Main Saloon, the U-shaped galley is to Port and a solid door to Starboard leads to a private cabin that occupies three quarters of the aft portion of the vessel below the cockpit ( a large cockpit Laurette occupies the balance of this space ). The aft cabin is spacious and has a full queen sized berth, hanging locker, additional storage, and standing room in front of the berth.
The full sized Nav Station is forward to the Aft cabin on the starboard side of the vessel
Forward of the galley - to Port - is an L shaped settee. a full sized dining table folds up against the forward bulkhead and can be easily lowered to form a large dinette. This table can also be lowered further to convert the settee seating to a double berth.
This arrangement is unique to this vessel and allows for an extremely spacious Main Saloon with the dining table in the "up" position, while still allowing for casual meals on the table to Starboard.
Opposite - to Starboard - is a comfortable (2) chair arrangement with a table between the chairs. This table also folds down to convert the Starboard seating are to a full settee or single berth. There is ample storage throughout the Saloon with opening cabinets, protected book cases, hanging locker and storage under the settees.
Forward to Port is a full size Head w/Shower, and a large V-berth occupying the forward part of the vessel with hanging locker and additional storage.
The forward cabin has a privacy door, making this a true (2) cabin vessel.
