ACCOMMODATIONS AND LAYOUT: The easy to handle Catalina 36 is beautifully designed inside and out from the large comfortable cockpit to the spacious interior with two private cabins. Characteristics such as excellent storage space, great ventilation, a well-equipped cruising galley, and seaworthy design make this sailboat a pleasure for a quick jaunt or long adventures out at sea! “Loon-A-Sea” is easily handled by a couple and has been very well cared for by her owner. GALLEY: The galley on “Loon-A Sea” is user friendly and well equipped with an Adler Barbour refrigerator, Seaward LPG two burner stove with oven, Samsung microwave, hot/cold pressure water supplied by a Seaward six gallon hot water heater and 72-gallon cold water tank. HEAD(S) & Showers: Fully enclosed head with pressurized hot/cold water, Wilcox Crittenden marine toilet (new in 2006) with 17-gallon holding tank and macerator and Snake River holding tank monitor. ELECTRONICS AND NAVIGATION EQUIPMENT: Electronic equipment on “Loon-A-Sea” includes a Raymarine ST-60 knot meter, depth finder, wind speed/direction indicator, Raytheon Ray52 VHF, Ritchie compass, Windex wind indicator, and JVC CD/FM stereo with internal and external speakers. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: Electrical system components include 17,000 BTU Rotary air conditioning/heat, two 12V deep cycle batteries (new in 2006), two 30 amp connections and cords for shore power, Zinc Saver II galvanic isolator, 30 amp battery charger/inverter, and 110V outlets throughout the cabin. Also on board are three DC cabin fans for use on the water or at the dock. SAILS & RIGGING: Sail inventory includes full batten main with Dutchman flaking system, 155% genoa with Schaefer roller furling, two self tailing Lewmar #48 primary winches, two self tailing Lewmar #30 halyard winches, solid spring loaded boom vang, Jiffy reefing system. All lines lead aft to rope clutch control in cockpit. MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT & ENGINE DETAILS: Engine is a 35HP Universal engine with 970 hours of use. Engine supplied by a 25-gallon fuel tank. Also, there is a Maxwell electric windlass and two anchors with chain and rode. SAFETY EQUIPMENT: This boat is equipped with the required USCG safety equipment. CANVAS AND OTHER EXTRAS: Air conditioning system, custom dodger and bimini with connector panel, pressurized hot/cold cockpit shower, cockpit table and cushions, Magma propane rail mount grill, and Edison pedestal steering with 40” destroyer wheel and cover.
