This Cary 50 is an excellent example of Cary Marine?s custom yachts. Built in 1978 to be bigger, faster, and better, this Cary 50 was retrofitted in 2006 to be even faster and better. No one needs a fifty-foot sport fisherman with luxurious accommodations and terrific performance, but if it?s available who wouldn?t want one?
Designed and built in the late seventies, it is one of the few fashion statements from that era that is still viable today. You have to love the long, low, wide stance of the Cary 50. The cockpit is gigantic with a fighting chair in the center with room all around. When you are sitting in the chair there is a low cut transom in front of you with a swim/dive platform. To either side is space to spare. Behind you port side is an aft facing lounge and starboard a wet bar with icemaker to help you celebrate your latest catch or just enjoy the view. The radar arch above you supports the radar, spreader lights, and forward bimini with full enclosure. The expansive helm is port side with full instrumentation that includes: Garmin 230 GPS, Raytheon Pathfinder Radar, Horizon Depth Finder, Raymarine Autopilot, compass, and Standard VHF. Opposite the helm is a companion seat. The step-through windshield gives the crew easy access to the foredeck and sunpad.
A centerline companionway takes us below to an open, air-conditioned, salon. Immediately on either side are the enclosed head to port and enclosed vanity, shower and tub to starboard. Moving forward we find a large convertible settee with a dinette table that lowers hydraulically to create a salon berth. Across from the settee is a full galley with full size refrigerator, two-burner stove, microwave, stainless steel sink, and storage. Forward is a queen berth with hanging locker, storage cabinets, and of course, overhead rod holders. The salon is clean, functional and classic.
Did we mention that Cary Marine builds performance yachts? Nut N Fancy has been retrofitted with twin MAN 780 hp diesels that are currently detuned to 550 hp for maximum fuel economy. They have only 62.9 hours on the meters. To add comfort and convenience, the salon is air-conditioned and a Mase generator supplies electricity on the water. If you are looking for a unique custom with plenty of horsepower, this is a boat that can?t be ignored. Call now to schedule a showing of this Cary 50. Owner is very motivated. Health issues forcing sale.
