Accommodations Sleeps 6 in owner's party in Master Stateroom and 2 Double Guest Staterooms, each with ensuite heads. Crew quarters for 4 with head, dinette and lounge area.
Deck Equipment All the way forward is a spacious wheelhouse (lower station) with full instrumentation, and electronics, port and starboard sliding doors that access the side decks, raised navy blue pleated bench seat across aft bulkhead, and stairs accessing flybridge to starboard. The wood is walnut as it is throughout the boat and the deck is teak laminate planking. Access to engine room and crew quarters is to starboard.
Galley The athwart ship 1996-completely renewed galley is next, aft, with doors separating it from the wheelhouse and salon aft. The large opening port and starboard windows, white appliances and white cabinetry and trim brighten this area. The offsetting navy blue Corian countertops and teak laminate floor planking provide a finishing touch. The GE Profile Series appliances include side-by-side refrigerator/freezer with icemaker/water dispenser, 4-burner ceramic top stove/oven with overhead microwave/convection oven, dishwasher, and trash compactor. The double sink has a Kitchen Aid disposal and Moen faucet/sprayer. There is generous cabinet and drawer storage throughout the galley with 2 slide-out pantries to starboard.
Salon Next, aft is the beautiful walnut paneled Salon with 3 large windows on each side, mirrored forward bulkhead and a glass aft bulkhead with sliding door to access the aft deck. The companionway to the staterooms is aft to port. This comfortable seating area has a sofa, 2 end tables and game board table to starboard, 2 upholstered arm chairs and round table forward and 2 matching "bamboo", cushioned chairs to port. Surrounding the aft companionway is a built in entertainment center that includes a 27" Mitsubishi Color TV with Mitsubishi VCR, Denon 5 DVD video system and Denon AVR sound surround system. Forward to starboard is the very convenient day head. The windows are accented by coordinated drapes and naturally finished wood blinds. The carpet throughout the boat is a light brown.
Enclosed Aft deck All the way aft is the hard enclosed Aft deck which features cushioned seating on the sides and stern with a wet bar forward to port. 2 varnished round Hi-Lo tables and 3 bamboo-cushioned chairs complete this spacious seating and entertaining area. The wet bar includes a stainless steel sink, Sub Zero icemaker, and excellent enclosed storage. Aft and through 2-hinged panels is the access to the swim platform with access to the lazarette through a hatch in the deck. To port and starboard are the clear Lucite wing doors leading to the side decks.
Lower Deck Aft All the way aft is the Master Stateroom which features a king size berth against aft bulkhead with ensuite head and stall shower, forward to starboard. To port and starboard are large hanging lockers with generous drawer space aft on both sides. A 19" Toshiba color TV/VCR sits forward atop a built in drawer cabinet. Moving forward through companionway there are linen closets to starboard and port.
Guest Stateroom At the forward end of the companionway to port and starboard are the identical double-berthed guest staterooms each with its own separate head and stall shower. Between the fore and aft berths are built in drawer/nightstands and above the foot of each out board berth is a 14" Panasonic color TV/VCR. There is excellent storage space in drawers beneath the berths, above the inboard berths and in 2 hanging lockers.
Forward Crew Quarters The forward crew quarter and engine room are accessed by the companionway in the wheelhouse. All the way forward are 2 hanging storage lockers. Aft to starboard are over/under berths with ample drawers beneath and forward. To port is the head with stall shower and ladder to access forward deck. In the lounge area to starboard is a raised bench style dinette. Opposite is a settee that easily converts to 2 pullman berths and there is a walk-in storage area at the aft end. A sliding partition can convert this Pullman berth area into a separate cabin. Beneath lounge area deck is a cavernous dry storage area and aft and in front of the companionway is a built in Sanyo refrigerator. The stand up engine room is aft through a watertight door. There is a Sony 10 disc CD deck and Optimus AM/FM receiver flush mounted above refrigerator.
Upper Deck The helm area is all the way forward with single Pompanette cushioned helm seat. Aft is an L-shaped seating area with a clear Lucite pedestal table. Covering this area is a hinged Bimini top. Further aft is the open boat deck with 2 sets of cradles and all the way aft across the stern is a cushioned seating area.
Engine Equipment The engine room contains a Maytag clothes washing machine, White Westinghouse clothes dryer that has been completely rebuilt and a White Westinghouse under counter freezer.

Shelmar is the 7th name to appear on this lovely Sparkman and Stephens designed Burger (Hull # 352C) houseboat motor yacht. She is one of the faster Burgers of her generation and features a very open and spacious floor plan with excellent storage and fuel capacities for long passages. During 12 years of ownership the owner has upgraded to NAIAD stabilizers, completely redecorated the boat, renewed the galley, added state of the art electronic systems and in 2003, the Hinckley yard in Stuart, Fl completely awlgripped her. Ships log and surveys going back to 1986 and maintenance logs are available for inspection. She has been kept under cover, in freshwater ready for the next owner to enjoy many years of cruising comfort. She is currently located in Jacksonville, FL under cover in fresh water.
